Tebucky is BACK!!!!!!!

Now that we have gotten rid of WIllie, does his touchdown count now?

Nice pick ups, T. Jones will fine behind Harrison plus he knows the system. If Gramatica is past his injury he should just aswell as he did before he got hurt.

Interesting signing in Jones...He's back!!!!

WELCOME HOME TEBUCKY!! I am ecstatic to see him back with the team.

re

If you go back and watch the 2001 run, a third of the highlight plays on defense were Tebucky taking out wide receivers.

.

T-buck Spells Intensity.

This is one scary mofo...

Brad Seely probably said to Belichick : "Look, man, I can't cover these f*cking kicks with LB. Get me some more speed and get it NOW".

And Belichick said "Yes sir".

That was insane. That was the one thing that stuck out to me in that video. There was one hit on a kickoff. He blew through the gap and hit the returner head on. He was still standing when it was all said and done.

LOL, he looks like he's about to cry . . .

Leaving the Patriots makes you want to cry, but TBUCK is so strong he holds his tears back in a Chuck Norris-esque way.

My, how our tunes have changed. It wasn't long ago that T-Buck was getting slammed, and rightfully so, because he was mediocre in the secondary. He could HIT and that was it. He was lousy in coverage against receivers and he had problems tackling. They were some of the primary reasons the Pats traded him to New Orleans. Cause he wasn't that good. AND he didn't want to be a special teamer anymore.

Sorry, I will be very surprised of T-Buck makes it out of TC.

As for Gramatica, He's been great on kick-offs, but horrendous on FGs since his injury.

Well, he has to have been told that his main job will be GUNNER. I would think anyway. And assuming he's OK with that, I will be shocked if he doesn't make it out of training camp.

I think he's being brought back as a ST'er and depth, and I'm thinking he might have come around to that being an okay role for him.

After his experience at New Orleans and his brief stint in Miami, Tebucky will probably be more than happy to keep his mouth shut and play on the Special teams that he thought he was to good for when he left here.

Took the words out of my mouth. Tebucky has sucked for years. We've all said so. This signing says more about the state of our secondary than it does about his talent. I don't expect him to make the team.

As for Grammatica, last week I joked that we should sign the best available Grammatica. I'm all for the move. I think we should sign the third Grammatica kicker too (I think he's eligible this year...maybe out of Central Florida?), and make the two brothers fight to the death for the roster spot.

Who says Belichick has any intention of him playing in the secondary barring massive injuries ?

A few of you seem to have forgotten our ST have SUCKED the past few years.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the Tebucky I remember from both New England and New Orleans is the guy that has a 10 cent head and can't cover worth a damn. I don't see this is a good signing unless it's strictly for special teams, if they expect him to compete for a starting job while Rodney is recovering then I don't like it at all. As far as Grammatica goes, eh he's good insurance assuming he has recovered from his surgery but I'll be surprised if he makes the team. However if he has fully recovered he could be a steal, an experienced kicker with a great pct. on long field goals.

Before we give up on his secondary play completely, remember Saban is reknown for his ability to train/re-train DBs.

That said - the field position battle is going to be very interesting with the speed BB is bringing in to compete for the Special Teams' specialist roles.

I'm so sick of being happy if the other team "only" returns a kickoff to the 28 or 32. Hopefully Mitchll and Tebucky can be a part of fixing that important part of the game.
