Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports all owners and the NFL's legal team had a 7:00 pm conference call and remain "united" according to a source.

NFL teams are still operating under "lockout rules" regarding player contact and transactions. That won't change overnight. NFL has not put in any new rules yet and that is not expected to occur until there is a court decision on whether or not to "stay" Judge Nelson's ruling.

Meriweather does have a total of just over $150k in workout bonuses, behind only Brady (250k), TWarren (250k), Mayo (200k), and TBC (200k).

Merriweather. He's a Miami alumn, he must be out of money by now, living with his cousin like Redman and trying to sell his teeth jewelry :D.

I saw something earlier saying that they believed the judge would not accept an appeal and that when they appeal to the 8th ct. it would take time before the lockout came back into effect.....gah, I wish I had the link (seemed like a reliable source since he was being promoted by some big reporters).

Anyway, he made it seem like there would be time where the lockout would not be in effect even if the 8th ct. takes the appeal, assuming that Judge Nelson doesn not accept the appeal.

Idk much about this stuff, just going by what I've heard.

"NFLPA emailed players tonight suggesting they report to work Tuesday. Email to follow...."

"Unless and until the judge issues an order for a stay the teams will be in violation of Judge Nelson's order if they don't allow access."

This is incorrect. Well, to be more precise, the league cannot maintain the lockout without being in contempt of court/in violation of a court order (injunction).

The NFL Network is owned by the NFL.

Do you mean to say that the NFL does not know if there is a lockout or not?

Absent another court action, players should report tomorrow. There is currently no lockout.

Are getting this wrong on purpose? I ask because you're doing so in two different threads.

The very wording of the judge's ruling:

C'mon, Triumph, this one isn't even in doubt.

As a follow up, the league is already backtracking:

League will allows players into facilities, but possibly not weight rooms | ProFootballTalk

The lockout is over. The owners have lost the round. From this early positioning of the owners, it looks as if it's going to be about achieving minimal compliance until the outcome of the appeal regarding the stay.

I think the following guys having a roster bonus, although not all may be due at the start of the league year:

    Tom Brady
    Jermaine Cunningham
    Rob Gronkowski
    Aaron Hernandez
    Dan Koppen
    Devin McCourty
    Marcus Stroud
    Wes Welker

There may be others, but I think those guys all have roster bonus money coming.

I think he is confused about the difference between the lock out and the league year. The NFL is not required to start the league year as of yet but they are required to allow players who are under contract to use the facilities they are entitled to by contract and take payment for money due to them at this point. The NFL can probably get away with not issuing any checks until a decision on the stay is made but i don't think they can any player out of facilities they would normally be allowed access to.

Right now the players are each operating under the terms of personal service contracts and won't be operating under any collective agreement unless or until one is reached.

Why shouldn't players show up for off-season workouts tomorrow morning?

They should. Here's looking for a speedy resolution of the whole situation, though I'm not holding my breath.
