Miles Austin – WR – Monmouth
Austin may be the workout warrior here. He measured in at 6'2, 215 lbs and did 21 reps on the bench. The talk is that he will run sub 4.4 as well as put up a vertical of over 40 inches. He has interviewed with the Rams, Steelers and Giants and has scheduled interviews with Patriots and Cowboys.

Skyler Green – WR – LSU
Measured in at 5'9, 192. Teams have talked to him about playing slot WR, and a return man as expected. Some teams have even talked to him about the possibility of being a 3rd down back. He has met with the Patriots' staff including their receivers and special teams coaches.

I enjoy all such posts, but remember the guys whom the Pats persue in the media are NOT the guys they draft.

I don't think the Pats are pursuing guys through the media. I think they've talked to some of these guys and they are just answering questions. They may or may not draft them but my guess is they will at least talk with the guys they are drafting.

Patriots.com has a lot more on Skyler Green and the other receivers the Pats are talking to. Also, some pretty interesting stuff on Michigan's Jason Avant and Rodney Harrison.

Avant would definitely be a nice selection due to his relationship with Rodney, but the guy who caught my attention in the interview was Hank Baskett...now that guy sounds like a Patriot.

I just checked on the Draft Xchange and they have him rated as the #6 WR and a 2nd round projection. He may be worth a #2 and would definitely be a steal if we could get him with Baltimore's #3.

Here is his profile from Draft Xchange:

So in the Draft Xchange's opinion he is not a good blocker, and in the interview with Patriots.com Hank says he loves to block and is the best blocker in the draft by far.

Hmmmmm
