I think that a LOT of people are overlooking the fact that the Pats have no back-ups at guard right now, other than Kaczur, who is the starting RT.

This isn't a good thing. With both Yates and Neal out, the Pats only have 6 active linemen. Oops.. forgot about Britt.. so that makes 7, but I don't believe Britt has the ability to move inside to guard.

Also, Wilson and Meriweather are going to be HUGE in this game. If they can't step up, then the Cotchery and Coles could have a field day.

Yea, it sucks that Neal's had a few injuries this season, and he's important for the run game.

Re: Chad Jackson, Watson, BRown, Yates, Neal OUT

He cought 88 passes his senior year, and most of those came with him working out of the slot. The Gators practically ran their offense through him as well.

The point isn't that he's a great NFL receiver, but with Watson out I'd try and keep more of your bigger WR's active, especially those who've been able to work closer to the LOS.

OK, I hear ya.

Though the media has dubbed this the Pats big revenge game I'm guessing BB is more concerned with the big picture and doesn't want to get Watson, Sanders and Neal any more banged up than they already are.

Re: Chad Jackson, Watson, BRown, Yates, Neal OUT

So, do you think that BB is giving some borderline injured players a game off (i.e.- resting them) because the next three games are essentially pointless (other than homefield throughout the playoffs)?

My thought exactly.

If one week might actually help a lot, give 'em the week.

The place where we're clearly thin is on the line. OL depth is two backup tackles, and the jumbo package is down to third string at one of the TE slots (I think Hochstein had pulled ahead of O'Callaghan).

WTF with Yates...I am tired of him.
