What is it about this offense that wrs struggle with it?Unless your Randy Moss.LLoyd looked lost out there.I am afraid of this team bringing in wrs under this system.
How does Lloyd look "lost"?

It's a nice win, but let's not kid. If Tannhill didn't suck, the Patriots could very well have lost that game, because they played poorly on offense.

but.

the patriots of 5 or 6 weeks ago would have lost to that sucky QB.

you take your victories where you can.

Not going to play a Top 5 QB every week, so? They beat a team with a rookie QB, like they should have.

So the Patriots offense was supposed to play poorly? That was the game plan?

like they should have?:snob:

he didn't look like a rookie when drove 80 yards on the pats.

Well yeah, a team like this year's Patriots should beat teams led by rookies. They took care of business today. They took care of Luck and the Colts. They blew it against Seattle.

Sure, but the context of my reply is that I was answering Mayoclinic's post

the patriots defense of 5 or 6 weeks ago were fully healthy.

The dolphins had their chances to exploit the defense but failed,

Of course not but why play the if game. If, if, if....how many ifs could you possibly put in todays game? Bottom line is they won and tannehills play was a factor but not the deciding one.

They played well enough to win. That's how we won 3 SB's. Always play a little better than the other team, even when you're not on your game. We've won 3 divisional games that way. Maybe this team is learning how to win when not playing well, after losing 3 close games earlier in the season.

I'll take it.

D played pretty well aside from that one blown coverage and allowing a fg in like 10 seconds.

O showed some playoff football toughness at the end. Very nice to see.

The question about the Patriots is not whether they can beat playoff teams when they put 40 points on the board. The question is not whether they can beat crap teams in the regular season when they don't put up 40 points on the board.

The question about the Patriots is whether or not they can beat playoff teams when the offense gets held in check. Today offered nothing to tell us that they can. They struggled to beat the Dolphins and Ryan freakin' Tannehill.

They won in Miami in December. That's great. If Tannehill didn't suck, things could have been different. If you can't see why that's an issue, you haven't watched this team in recent years.

They won 3 super bowls playing consistent defense week after week.

The old patriots defense didn't play down to the other team skill level like this.

If Tannehill didn't suck, things could have been different. .

If a comet fell out of the sky and landed on Brady, things could have been different.

Sorry, just not seeing your point.

No. In 2003, they won by having their defense grind the hell out of opponents. It wasn't about being a little better than the other team. It was about shutting down the opponent. They went 14-2 despite hitting 30 points only 5 times in that season, and they won 5 games while scoring under 20 points.

A majority of wins over Miami seem to be close for some reason. Sure the Pats have blown them away at times but it does seem like Miami has a knack for keeping the game closer then we would like.

Good win, now just 4 more to go. So looking forward to this Houston game. Got a feeling we they will play them well.

Try repeatedly bashing your head on a brick wall - it would be about as productive as trying to get 'Deus' to concede any type of point or even back down from pointless rhetoric and supposition.

FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS WHERE I'M COMING FROM!!!!!!!

The holes we saw today almost always COMEBACK WHEN THE PATRIOTS CAN'S AFFORD THEM TO!!

This was was good, but it can also be seen as a warning sign/blueprint to defeat.

First sporting event you ever watched, then?

Couldn't see the game, unfortunately.

Why did Vollmer play? Thought he wasn't near 100%, and the Oline played great last week.
