Holley has been talking the last few minutes about how quiet it has been...he thinks they are up to something..maybe something big. He has a feeling..of something shocking..BIG!! Good news...gave examples of Colvin, Harrison,,and Poole when he was signed. Compared it to a small child in a room..TOO quiet...same here...with Patriots too quiet!! Hmmmm will be interesting. and NO they mentioned TO and...NOT happening!!

Time for my daily call for the Poston Daily Double . . . package deal of Julian Peterson and Ty Law.

Given Belichick's history with OLB, Julian Peterson is probably THE BEST UFA out there this year, including all those that have signed already. If only he weren't a Poston client.

I wish there were more to this report. The "It's quiet. It's too quiet" angle is something any of us could come up with. I don't know what's happening, but it could just be their working to extend Seymour and Branch, and that's it.

Ray Lewis perhaps? He wants out of Baltimore and the Ravens were asking for just a round 2 pick. We did the same to get Corey Dillon why not Lewis or McAllister?

That would be scary. I wonder though if his very strong personality/lockerroom leader attitude might disrupt the balance already created by people like Bruschi and Harrison.

No player has ever had an issue with Ray Lewis (publicly) and in regards to that incident with the stabbing it was the guys he was with. It's not like he knifed someone himself. He is what leadership is all about along with Rodney and Teddy. Willie is gone so it looks like another voice there in the locker room wouldn't hurt. A powerful voice at that.

It would be very tough to run on, to say the least.

Imagine a healthy secondary and the way the Pats want to control the clock. They would wear out defenses by halftime.

I had that same feeling this morning. It was quiet- kind of a hush- it felt like something shocking and big was happening.

Then the phone rang and as I reach for it, I realzed that my shorts had ridden way up on me. So, I pulled them back and everything is normal.

As Patriots fans would you accept or oppose the signing of "Ray Lewis"? I think he would have to lose that intro dance, we don't take to all that showtime here in NE.

I inadvertently connected some dots on another thread when I had speculated that the only way the Lions sign Corey Bradford is if they had plans to move one of their three 1st round picks at WR - Mike Williams, Roy Williams, or Charles Rogers. Now that Givens is gone and Holley offically thinks something is 'up' then maybe the Pats are trading for one of Detriot's Big Three?? You heard it here first...(and this is with no help from some rumor mill)

Actually, I wasn't thinking about the knife incident at all. I did read that in the Ravens locker room he was king and if you didn't get along with him you'd soon be either run out of town or join his "club". That's certainly speculation since I read it on one of those espn or si.com rumor sections. If that's true, and he is coming here, I would hope that he meshes with the leaders of the Patriots really well.

I would welcome that. Then sign Ty Law and we are in business.

I think the Pats are up to something too.

Keep your eye on this guy Richard Seymour - I have a feeling he'd be a great signing - same with a WR by the name of Deion Branch. I'd love to see them spend some cap money to sign these guys to a long term deal.

There's also this guy Adam Something begninning with "V" - he'd be a perfect fit for this team and I think he would be a great signing as well.

And then once all the other teams have spent their cap money, and the Bills release Eric Moulds, we might get him on the cheap with the money leftover after signing the aforementioned marquee players.
