I was reviewing my season ticket package and I notice that the Patriots
are no longer going to charge a fortune to transfer a season ticket account.

If you want to transfer your season ticket account to a family member
or friend starting next season, their will be no charge.

Nice change..... I forget the exact amount, but they wanted big money
to transfer tickets.

Interesting, so people could pretty much sell their right to the tickets kind of like a PSL if they want to

Yep, look forward to a thriving black market for season tickets...and the waiting list becoming worthless. :(

I wonder what prompted the change? My initial thought was that the size of the waiting list went way down in the past year or so, but that can't be it, since it just further lessens the value of being on there...

I can understand the frustration of a person on the waiting list.

I do not think that you should be able to transfer the tickets to
a friend.

You should be able to transfer the tickets to a immediate family member.

If I want my kids to have my tickets, they are going to get my tickets.
Even if he didn't change the rule, my kids would eventually take over
my tickets. I would just keep my Patriots visa account open in my name. , long after I am gone.

:yeahthat:

Unless you hold a single seat, season tickets are a family affair and become a family tradition. There should be some provision to make them inheritable. But "friends" just means "the highest bidder."

my buddies father in law has been asking him for years to get ready to take over his lower end zone tickets, but my friend has been putting it off because he said it was 5k to transfer each ticket...ouuuuch. I'm not sure if this is true though

This is awsome I was wondering how I was going to come up with the huge fee they were asking. I guess we will have to move this now just in case the rule gets changed again.
