Pats WR coach Chad O'Shea was at the Louisville pro day. And Long dominated in the cone and shuttle drills, in which the Pats seem to place a lot of stock (Branch, Bethel, Chad Jackson, Welker, Edelman all had great shuttle times).

If you’re thinking of drafting a receiver, imagine a 6-foot-2, 216-pounder who led his team in receptions last year. Now envision him placing in the top ten for his position in all NFL combine events.

Believe it or not, you’re picturing Scott Long.

I always enjoy these interviews, but this one was really exceptional. Great job!

Scott sounds perfect for our offense. He could fill the Gaffney/Stallworth role that we lacked last year.

Theres so much great WR depth in this draft. Pats won't even have to use a 2nd to bring in a good reciever.

Didn't Long drop a lot of balls during position drills at the Combine?

Wow, projected 5th-7th round pick! Never heard of him before reading this.

Another name to watch out for on draft day. :)
