The Las Vegas lines seem to have converged at 24 points.
This ties the Patriots as the biggest favorites in NFL history.
In 1976 the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers were 24 point home favorites over the 0-12 expansion Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
What makes this special is that the 5-5 Eagles are a strong team. According to the Sagarin ratings they are the 9th best team in the NFL (both overall and by points). According to his pure points rating we should be a 23.3 point favorite at home.
Sagarin says this without taking into account Donnovan Mcnabb's likely absence. Las Vegas, on the other hand, is heavily focused on the McNabb situation.
EDIT: Actually, some bets are apparently being taken at 24.5 right now. Perhaps the Patriots own the title of "biggest favorites ever" outright.
