I'm not all that surprised - happy in fact to see that the Patriots are underdogs coming into SD... the Patriots players LOVE that!

What will be interesting to me is to see how the line changes (or doesn't) change as I recognize the las vegas line is strictly designed to ensure that an equal number of people are betting for both teams. If too many people take the Pats with that spread (and I think MANY people will) expect it to shift.
No disrespect to the Chargers, but in many ways I am more confident of winning this game than I was coming into the Jets.
Some of the intangibles for the Jets worried me - the fact that Mangini knows our team inside and out. The fact that the Jets had absolutely nothing to lose coming into the game, being major over achievers - and conversely that the pressure on the Patriots and coaching staff to win was significant - even beyond the one and done playoff environment.
With the Chargers, its the opposite in many ways - the SD defense is not as good as the Ravens (though we shouldn't underestimate them) we are underdogs and really have nothing to lose.
All the pressure is on SD to come through - and a ton of pressure on the Coaching staff to show they can win a playoff game.
So I for one, love the underdog status!
