Going on vacation to Miami beach and would like to know if there is a Pats bar in the area.

It is a bit of a ride north from Miami Beach, but if you are a Boston sports fan, you will most definitely want to check out Boston's On the Beach in Delray at the corner of A1A and Atlantic Avenue.

Take 95 north to Atlantic Avenue in Delray and head east until you hit the ocean, then turn right. Boston's is right there on your right.

You can park on meters right A1A across from Boston's or you can pull in behind the place and valet.

The owners are from Boston and the whole place is decorated in Boston pro and college sports memorabilia, including a huge replica of the Green Monster displaying the final score of the day the Impossible Dream Red Sox beat the Twins to clinch the AL pennant in '67. It even has Yaz (#8) at bat (I guess because he won the Triple Crown that year).

The downstairs is a traditional sports bar with all the memorabilia, TVs, etc. The upstairs has a patio overlooking the ocean and bit more pricey dining. Both are great.

They have cool t-shirts, too, with the Boston's On the Beach logo tied in with your favorite pro teams.

After you eat, head back west on Atlantic Avenue...great shops, restaurants, street musicians, etc., on Atlantic between Swinton and A1A.

Then, when your night (or day) is over, keep going west on Atlantic, to I-95, head south down to I-395 or I-195 (depending on where you are staying, South Beach or upper Collins) and you're back to your hotel.

Have fun! Give my regards to SoFla!

Not sure if a Patriot bar in Miami is a good business decision!

This compilation is more than a year old, so some of the places listed may be out of date - and some of the places may be a ways away from you as well since it is for SE Florida. Cross John Bull English Pub off the list below; somebody in the thread below said they don't even have the Sunday Ticket any longer.

It's been a while since I was there; I'm trying to remember, how far is it from Miami to Fort Lauderdale - about a half hour, 45 minutes or so?

You don't need to go to a Pats bar per se. Miami is pretty open to other teams' fans as everyone is from somewhere else. The Ale House is a great chain that features all the games with pretty decent food. There's bound to be one close to where you're staying. Other teams' fans (including a good number of pats fans) will vastly outnumber Doofans at whichever location you go to.

Edit: there is a North Miami Beach Ale House. It's about 20 minutes from South Beach. There's a fairly cute bartender from Boston that works there and that location seems to be particularly Pats-friendly one.

Yes, it's a good 40 minutes or so up to Ft. Lauderdale. Google says Quarterdeck in Miami Beach closed, and maybe Felt Billiards has too.

The good news for you is that Florida has so many residents from up north that if you go to ANY sports bar in Miami you can likely find at least a table if not a room full of Patriots fans, even for a game against the Dolphins.

It may be an hour north, but the food is fabulous and so are the people.

Problem won't be the Dolphin fans. But you will be out numbered by Jets fans!

The teams I see the most support for in South Florida, after the Dolphins, are the Giants, Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys, Bears, and Raiders, roughly in that order. I haven't seen too many Jets fans. Maybe I don't hang with the wrong crowd! Look for urban blight and maybe you find Jets fans.

I was just joking around. I have only been to Miami once and it wasn't during football season. But I do know whenever the Dolphins host the Jets, I see as much green as orange and aqua in the stands on TV.

Wow, I know exactly where that it is even though I live in Ohio. My Mom lives in Boynton Beach. I'll have to check that place out when I'm down there.
