Parking at Gillette Stadium

Sleepy or not....once Wynn builds his casino across the street expect them to replace that parking w garages

So if there are parking garages, that would kill tailgating wouldn't it?

Oh, and; Another GD thing to tie traffic up? Are they joking, or just stupid? Driving through Atlantic City is a breeze compared to getting up RT 1 on game day. A casino sure as hell ain't gonna help.

My advice is to park in one of the private lots on the RTE 495 side of the stadium on the opposite side of the street. It is a longer walk, but far easier to get out of the area. Can save you upwards to an hour.

Jaguar fan?

OK, here's the scoop. Parking is a dream at the stadium. It's so easy and inexpensive. Route 1 is a zippy little road and the traffic moves quickly.

Make sure to park in the lot closest to the stadium right before gametime. Tell the friendly attendant that you intend to pay after the game, then request him/her to valet park while you saunter inside.

Sometimes the men's rooms get a bit overcrowded, so the Krafts have a very flexible policy where they say it's OK in those situations for men to use the ladies rooms.

And remember to always, always wear lots a Jaguar paraphenalia!

So so wrong to do to a vistor!!

Here is the lowdown. Route 1 is a nightmare. It is a narrow, two-lanes in both directions "old" New England highway. On game days it becomes a parking lot in both directions about 2 miles from the stadium. The playoffs are worse because, inexplicably, there are a fair amount of people who go to the "game" but never leave the parking lot (i.e. they don't have tickets to the game, but go for the atmosphere). Stadium lots are $50.00 (don't know where the $35 or $40 price comes from). Some outlying lots are cheaper, but the walk is long. During the playoffs they sometimes jack up the prices (jerks). Don't park right at the stadium unless you are okay with it taking several hours after the game to get out (some people don't mind as they tailgate). Ideally you should park in a lot as far out as you can stand walking with the ability to make a right turn out of the lot going in the direction you want after the game. If you can do it, you should consider scouting lots on the opposite side of Rte. 1 that you come in on, and trying to make a u-turn to get into one.

You should plan to arrive on Rte. 1 at least 3 hours before the game, taking into consideration you will probably sit at or near the exit ramp on either Rte. 95 or 495 and on Rte. 1 for at least an hour. Have snacks and non-alcoholic drinks in the car to nosh on while you wait so you don't tear out your hair. Have a cold Pepsi or Coke ready for the driver for on the way out.

For this game I am arriving via Rte. 495 (from south of Gillette), which is probably the same direction you are coming from. I am going to park at a place I can describe, but I don't know the name of. It is a private lot that is one mile south of the stadium. Right before it on Rte. 1 you will pass the state police station on the right. Then you will pass a Dunkin Donuts. Literally one driveway after the Dunkin Donuts is an office building which has a driveway that drops down sharply and the building is below the road. It usually costs $40 to park here, but it might be $50 tomorrow. Even though it is a left out after the game, it is an easy out because there is only one lane of northbound traffic after the game, and no one is crazy enough to drive towards Gillette after a game. It is a mile walk to the stadium from here. Otherwise I don't park on this side of the stadium, so you are on your own.

Coming from the north I park in the last stadium lot before you hit the Ford dealer directly across from Gillette. I looked at a Map and I believe it is Lot 51. Getting out of this lot is dicey, though. It has taken me 15 minutes, but after the Jets game last year it took us two hours. Hit or miss, but the walk to the stadium is much shorter. It usually costs $50, but I bet they jack up the prices tomorrow.

Don't let the parking/traffic situation get you down. Be prepared and be ready for a great game!

Hi guys (first time poster :D), I am interested in going to tomorrows game but I just have a few quick questions about the parking/gate situation of Gillette Stadium.

A few notes before I continue: I live on North Street (right behind Gillette Stadium) and there is a backgate where players/team buses enter about half a mile away from my house (Sponsored by Fildelity I believe?)

So my question is: Am I allowed to just walk into that back gate? Because I know it is used mostly for the Putnam Club passes, but when I went to the season-ticket holders practice at Gillette in the summer, they allowed me to drive through since I was a Foxboro resident.
It would suck that I have to walk an extra 3 miles if I can't use that back gate. Please let me know thanks!
