I'm not down about this at all. I don't think Parcells has what it takes to bring a team to the promised land of a championship anymore, but he will improve this team (heck, I could improve the Dolphins)
Aside from the fact that a Tuna/Dolphins partnership is going to make for some great headlines, I don't really want to see a weak AFC East - and the Fins are really bringing down the bellcurve these days.
I might not be saying that if he begins mining our assistant coaches, but I still don't see Pioli going to work under his father in law's shadow. Unless McDaniels pulls a Mangini he won't defect to another AFC East rival either - and furthermore I question how effective he'd be as a coach down there.
The best place for McDaniels is to be placed in charge of a complete but underachieving team - not a team like the Dolphins that hasn't had a QB for a decade.
