Panthers message board: "pieces are lining up" for Peppers to Pats

Now that's what I'm asking. If we only have so much amount of space, we probably can't even trade for him in the first place to work a deal out because he wouldn't fit under our cap under our current limit. He can't re-sign with Carolina either to make him cheaper. This pretty much puts my dream to bed :(

Yep. The time to get him was in the offseason. There is 0.000% chance of getting Peppers. Only way we get him is if we have $11m and change in cap room.

I'll take Steve Smith and call it a day.

I think Peppers will become a Patriot next offseason. No way Carolina pays the man $20 million to stay another year.

Im sick of this bs Peppers to NE nonsense. When the hell is it going to stop.

If we dont re-sign wilfork we could get jenkins.

I agree. We need a real domiant DE to run a beast 4-3

I wouldnt pay him the money he wants at the expense of Wilfork and Bodden. Id take the two over Peppers.

They are talking about Jenkins injury being potentially career threatening for a nose tackle at the late stage of his career.

Ok, I'm a homer, but...is it me, or has BB's track record on trades and offseason acquisitions been poor this season?
- Trade Cassel for 2nd rounder. Less value validated by signing 2 FAs quickly: Taylor and Baker
- sign Taylor - out for the year, ok, not stellar before injury
- sign Baker - non factor
- sign Galloway - cut
- sign springs - backup
- sign Banta-Cain - ok
- trade 3rd for Burgess - non factor
- trade 7th for Matthews - cut
- trade 5th for Lewis - cut
- trade Seymour for 1st rounder - I like this one

Looks like we had a solid draft, and got some 2nd rounders next year which will help take away the sting. At least, BB know when to recognize mistakes and move on.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought Taylor (pre-injury), Baker, TBC, and Springs had been playing up to expectations.

Put away your puzzles everyone. Playtime is over.
