A Minnesota man was arrested Monday for throwing two tomatoes at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

According to police, 33-year-old Jeremy Paul Olson threw the tomatoes at Palin from a second floor balcony in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., while the former GOP vice presidential candidate was signing books at a Barnes & Noble.

Palin was not hit by the flying tomatoes, which instead hit two police officers standing near the former governor. Olson was arrested on charges of suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct.

Palin – who has sold more than 1 million books since starting her signing tour last month – did not comment on the incident.

Following the incident, Palin attended a private fundraiser for Minnesota Republicans that was attended by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) among others. “I hope I can get a book and maybe get it signed,” Bachmann told reporters Monday....... Flying tomatoes miss Palin and hit police.

You can't judge a book by its cover, looking at the perp my first thought was he looks like he would be there to get his book signed. Not to throw tomatoes.

Better that he hit the cops than Palin.....I'm surprised he hasn't been branded a domestic terrorist.

With a snowball i was eleven or twelve...... Ok Harry your turn.

Hitting a cop by accident like this is different than hitting a cop on purpose while resisting arrest.

Either one is very bad when the smelly tomato is still dripping from his shiny uniform.

Doing it when a kid is a bit different than doing it when you are supposed to be an adult.

On VJ Day at the end of WWII we had our own little riot in Cambridge during the wrestling and confusion I grabbed a Cops Hat, I got away, many of my friends were hauled away in the Old Paddy Wagons and had the living sh!t beat out of them when they were kicked down the ramp in the old Cambridge Police Station, I had that hat for many years it got lost somehow during one of our moves, my friends are all dead as is the Cop who owned the hat, I tried to find his relatives years ago through some Cop friends of mine to give them the hat but he had no children or other survivors.

The old Cambridge Cops of the 40's & 50's would have driven today's Liberal Knee Jerkers insane.

The snowball i mentioned... There were three of us walking down the street near where we live. Me, my cousin Alan and a kid by the name of Jeff S. It was a warm late winter day, plenty of wet snow. We each had a snowball someone said OK the next car that comes by we all turn and throw. (As i'm sure you know when your that age you Have to go along unless it meant certain death.) We hear a car coming up we all turn and throw, its a cruiser with the passenger side window down one of the snowball goes threw the window and hits the cop. We all start running, we know all the back yards and escape routs. My cousin and i run threw a few back yards and after about five minutes make it to the back of his house. We barge through the back door, there standing in the kitchen was Jeff S. along with the cop. The cop says "and those two too" to my aunt. Jeff S. the rocket scientist had run right to my cousins front door, the cop just followed him. As i remember when i got home i got a severe beating like you got in those says. No time outs, it was the belt or the coat hanger. :singing:

Just more tolerance and open mindedness from the left. Until these people actually face serious jail time for such actions, they will continue.
