    Chris,

As cut downs occur, can we get a locker status check? I'm curious if any of the young kids, or old dogs like Artrell, are keeping a locker ready for a re-signing down the road. Thanks!

No problem at all. We get locker room access for the first time this week, and I'll keep an eye out.

Thanks for the kind words--NECN is always a good time. Mike Giardi is a great guy who always does a great job at making us print guys feel comfortable in front of the camera. As for the book, it'll be available at all the major outlets, and I'll be doing signings throughout New England to promote it. Hope to see you guys out there!

I'm usually on with Mike on "Sports Late Night" Saturday at 11 p.m. roughly once a month. I'll give a shout out to let folks know the next time I'm in. (In the spirit of shameless self-promotion, I'm also on "Out of Bounds" on CN8 at 11 p.m. every few weeks. I'll let folks know about those appearances as well...)

Not only is Chris a quality reporter/writer, he's also a superb human being. I'm looking forward to reading my advanced copy, too. See you at Little Richard's locker.
    Best wishes,
    Dan

Nothing yet--I'll let everyone know as soon as I do. I know I will be at Borders and Barnes and Noble in Boston, Braintree, Providence, South Portland and the Cape.

And not to get all mutual admiration society on everyone, but Dan Pires is a top-notch reporter and an even better person.

Oh sure, it's not like you get enough love for mouth-to-mouth on overheated, oil oozing construction equipment, now you've got to shamelessly shill for another ink-stained wretch! (I hope you make him buy with all those greenbacks stuffed into his pocket by the publisher.) Don't be a stranger Dan, er, I mean, come back and visit us sometime.

Thanks for the shout back Chris, I'm looking forward to your impressions. And thanks for the 10 things learned link, lets get a little more of this self promotion going - we'll let you know when you've overtaken Deion Sanders.

can I get in on the love too??

seriously, I'm about 40 pages shy of finishing Chris' book, and I'm very impressed. His research is extensive, and some of the stories are funny as well (Will McDonough chasing Robert Kraft through the stairwell at the old stadium on draft day...). Belichick and Pioli are given a lot of accolades for the way they do business, and The Blueprint shows exactly what that way is.
