I don't even need to read it to know that someone wrote it for him.

If he is really taking responsibility for his mistakes, why is he appealing the suspension? I don't know what his contract is, but as the sixth overall pick in 2005 he made millions in his first two years in the league - more than enough to pay his tuition, take a year off, finish his degree, and get his head on straight. Appealing the suspension is just another way of saying "it's not my fault, man", despite his ad.

PFT has an interesting take on this:

1. Any significance to it coming out on 4-20
2. He never apologizes to his fans in the letter.

He is a fraud pure and simple, another publicity stunt, 81 K could have been used for many things, could have made some working class folks lives different.

As far as his appeal goes, it is his right and I expect him to exhaust all avenues, not many of us would do differently.

You can read the full letter right there by the way.
Seems to be coming from the heart.
But at this point, the only way to really know his intentions is by his actions off the field from this point moving forward.

His talent is unquestioned both as a return man and as a cover CB.

I for one wish him luck in his new ways and really hope he can conquer himself and surround himself with good people in order to let him become the player he can and more importantly a person he can proud of.

Waitasec, he has a kid?!? Awesome. With a role model like Pacman, that kid will really go places.

hate to see him turn out like T.O . gotta give him the benefit of the doubt. and wish him good luck he is young!and very good at his job:rolleyes:

Jones would have to improve to be T.O. Owens may be a self-possessed ass, but as far as I know he has a clean record.

refering to T.O as a disease in the locker room. not off the field . my mistake:(

I believe there was only one copy and, unfortunately, it was destroyed.

Apparently, in a moment of excitement, PacMan ripped it into little pieces and sprinkled it over the featured twin stripper act at the House of Babes in Memphis.:eat1:
