Mark it down fellas, the sooner next season gets here the better.

Well we won't have been on the road 4 out of 5 games, half the team with the flu and . . . RODNEY WILL BE BACK :D

Right on, I can't wait and BB will be able to concentrate right on that game.

...and HELL is coming with him (along with a few 1st round draft picks...)

they took our kicker, lets get their linebacker for opening day

Maybe seeing their banner raised in our faces will restore the hunger that some here have begun to question?

Really cannot be a bad thing to piss NE off going into the season?/

By the way......who votes the MVP - that was absolutely pure BS giving it to Peyton.

wait, it is already confirmed? the schedules are out?

Im confused...

the super bowl champions always open the season on thursday at home, and they are definately going to pick us out of their home game schedule, considering the history.

if it hasnt already been confirmed, im going to say that this is NOT going to happen. The league is going to milk this rivalry for about 7 weeks. I think the Colts will get someone like Denver or KC or some ****. not us.

Why would we want Cato June?

exactly..Rodney is bigger than him..and June misses a lot of tackles and gets dragged. all he would be in our D is a great cover linebacker..wont stop anything against run with the blockers getting to him

Out of those eight, I'll take a flyer and guess it's the Saints.

There is no way the NFL misses the chance to have the best rivalry in the game today to kick off their season.

The NFL has said that they do not like having a game in week 1 that can determine hfa throughout the playoffs. Actually it was the Colts who complained about it after opening the 04 season in Foxboro. Instead they go for teams with big storylines, that is why you saw Moss and the Raiders to open 05 at Gillette and the Steelers got the "new and improved" Miami Dolphins (they were super bowl bound you know!).

IMO the trendy teams to play at Indy on 9/6 would be Tennessee with Vince Young (they should have a ton of buzz around them) or New Orleans (Archie's old team, Reggie Bush, conference finalist, feel good story, etc).

Thanksgiving weekend is always a big weekend with plenty of Sunday games that tend to mean something but with the Pats possibly playing at Dallas on Thanksgiving, I think you see the Pats at Colts in early December. As someone else said, the league will milk this for all it's worth.

And the Pats get to be there for the unveiling of their Super Bowl banner. Won't that be nice? :p
