As much as I'll be watching returns for the "big one," I'll be watching these particular senate races just as closely.

Florida: Allen West - Patrick Murphy

Illinois: Tammy Duckworth - Joe Walsh

Minnesota: Michelle Backmann - Jim Graves

Indiana: Richard Mourdock - Joe Donnelly

Virginia: Tim Kaine - George Allen

MA: Elizabeth Warren - Scott Brown

Missouri: Claire McCaskill - Todd Akin

Any others of particular interest to anyone here?

Bachmann - Graves. Last I heard that, despite Bachmann's huge cash advantage, the race was close, close enough that Bill Clinton did a campaign stop in support of Graves. Could be interesting, especially since with Romney at the helm the Tea Party has been running away from itself.

Sorry ... cannot stand the little jerk Darryl. I have many friends and have done much business in Providence. He was supposed to be a breathe of fresh air in the city following Buddy ... he was almost as criminal and left the city in financial shambles thanks to his fuzzy math. The micro economy in the city is near non existent thanks to his administration. Tavares however is the real deal but it will take time ... a lot of time.

But as always i respect your opinion ... you know him personally and I do not.

Nor do i wish to know him ... :nono:

There are two on that list that fascinate me. West-Patrick in Florida and Brown-Warren in Taxachusetts.

Seriously, with the choice between Brown and Warren, what justification could a person possible give for voting for Warren, other than the D after her name? She's Marsha Coakley extra light. I won't bother to mention the lying, as I know her supporters support that.

If we ever vote for a black man for president (again?), I hope it's an Allen West type of fighter and not a sniveling empty suit like Obama. Every time I see West talk I want to jump up and applaud, probably the same way that Obama feels when he listens to Reverend Wright.

I also saw the local ballot question concerning medical marijuana mentioned here. That leads to the question of how marijuana can be classified as a medicine. If people want to make it legal to grow, buy and/or sell that's fine, go for that, but don't try and sneak it in as a medicine. That could lead almost anywhere.

The Coakley Brown election always fascinated me, no fan of Coakley, but they rolled out "Tookie" Amarault as sometype of victim of the work of Coakley as she opposed his parole. In some perverse way the right adopted Tookie Amarault as some type of "hero" or victim of Coakley..

Have to remember the "Fells Acres Sex Abuse Case", and despite some legal issues not one of the victims of "Tookie" every changed their testimony and no court ever overturned the verdict...

Never understood that, somehow the pubbies did not use "Tookie" as a prop this election....

    And the winners are..........

Utah: Mia Love - Jim Matheson

Conn: Linda McMahon - Chris Murphy

RI: David Cicilline - Brendan Doherty

All in all, not a bad night's work - except for Bachmann, who barely eeked out her victory. It was a huge win for liberals - and most of them spent very little money in comparison to their Republican counterparts.

I am absolutely thrilled that Patrick Murphy beat Allen West and that Tammy Duckworth beat Joe Walsh. I think I enjoyed that even more than I enjoyed the Obama win.

I'm sure he does.....Sorry I forgot to color his name as winner.

In a perfect world Bachmann would have lost by a landslide.....unfortunately it's not a perfect world. :)

Rove is cracking me up. How anyone can take him seriously after his melt down on election night is beyond me.

Go chat with someone that smoked pot for serious medical reasons and hopefully you'll come away with a different perspective.

Have you ever looked into whether marijuana has legitimate medicinal uses, or are you just spouting nonsense?

Allen West is just a loudmouth. Losing his district probably doesn't bode well for a Presidential bid.

As for fighters, Obama just beat the hell out of Romney, albeit not quite as badly as he did McCain and Palin. Imagine how those elections would have gone if he weren't an empty suit...
