Dean Pees trying to outshine his predecessor Mangini;
Josh McDaniels trying to show the better coordinator didn't leave but stayed;

This game has more subplots than one might initially think.

It's not like McDaniels was offered a HC job.

They're just trying to win a game.

first off, Josh wasn't a coordinator last season, so that is a moot point about him leaving as a coordinator.

secondly, Pees has decades of experience on Mangini, and if BB had the decision to make again, I wouldn't be surprised to see him select Pees as his DC to succeed RAC.

nice thinking, but really, these aren't valid subplots...

Maybe BB in his infinte wisdom KNEW that the Patriots coaching cupboards were going to raided again and rather than appoint his REAL DC selection of Dan Pees he put Mangini in that spot instead knowing that some ninkompoop team would pick him up as their head coach leaving us with the true defensive genius Dan Pees it was just dumb luck that it was the Jets...insert sarcastic smily here :rolleyes:

Frankly, I'm sick of the Mangini/Belichick storyline. The media has beat it to death and I don't think there's all that much to it.
