Prayers and sympathy to the friends, families & victims of todays tragedy. Aparently 2 (Lidle & ?) perished in the craft...still not saying.

Heroes thank you to the NY City Fire & Police who entered that building A.S.A.P. with no bias towards past tragedies. Totally unaware of what they were running into except it was a plane crash....these men are as brave as any in the world.

N.Y.C. Mayor Bloomberg is having a press conference right now. He said they aren't releasing the names, and wouldn't confirm that it was Lidle. He also said there was an instructor on board and the pilot [Lidle] only had 75 hours of experience.

My brother just told me the news and I am totally surprised. This is a total bummer.

Wow. Unbelievable. Brings back memories of the Thurman Munson crash.

    NY Times:

-Fox25 says that isn't the plane that crashed today, but rather the one Lidle bought in July for ~$187,000.

My prayers go out to his family. Rest in Peace Cory Liddle.

Someone on another unrelated forum mentioned this and i thought it was just a little eerie...10/11/06 upside down is 90/11/01 too close that it's freaky

Eerie is the link below. A Google groups search hit on this first discussing how when the Yankees fly, they have a backup pilot in Lidle and he discussed the composite plane he flew as well as its parachute feature......
    Dittos on the condolences......

Scary. the building he crashed into is 2 blocks away from our family apartment. My sister lives there now and it was kinda freaky. Condolences to Lidle's family.
