Irene just passed here in Puerto Rico and did some damage. Now, the rain that comes behind it is what is really bad. Haven't stopped raining since last night.

    Good luck with Irene.

It knocked over more than a chair and there was no zero warning or preparation time, tough guy. Thank goodness there doesn't seem to be much damage, other than Dominion Power taking two nuclear plants offline as a precaution.

If you get hit by a Hurricane 1, three days off, I'll be praying the best for everyone up there.

Your afraid of a Category 1 hurricane?

That's a glorified thunderstorm down here in Florida. No big deal.

The most powerful hurricane I've been in was a Category 3, but I've probably experienced a dozen of so Category 1 or 2 hurricanes. My hurricane hierarchy:

Category 1: Party at the beach hotel, surf the waves, and take video of some brisk winds.

Category 2: Party at a house/hotel a couple miles from the beach.

Category 3: If you live inland, stock up at home and eat the perishables before the storm hits. If you live near the coast, shack up at a hotel inland.

Category 4: If you live inland, hit a hotel a little further inland. If you live on the coast, say your goodbyes to your house and head inland. Take photos of your valuables for insurance purposes.

Category 5: Get the **** out now! Grab what you can, take pictures if you have time, but hit that interstate and quick.

Blizzards are scary ****. The thought of all that shoveling shivers me timbers.

    Meh,

Here in Maine, I weathered the last two significant hurricanes that hit, plus the Ice Storm and all the other cr@p before, between and after. I've got a box full of sterno, candles, batteries and duct tape. Plenty of canned goods and instant coffee.

However, I WILL be royally P!SS#D if the dish is damaged and I can't get DirecTV for the game Saturday. Other than that, have at it. The insurance is all up to date. :rocker:

dude. Most Hurricanes die off and become tropical storms that turn into Nor-Easters in the winter time and shi t out heavy wet snow or fluff.
    A cat 1 Hurricane is a joke:rofl:

well as long as the PATS are not playing a football game in it. I am not worried b/c we play in Detroit. Maybe a hurricane will hit their next:rofl:

Well when is it going to hit us DR. Greg (KDP) Forbes, our friendly New England Meteorologist and weatherman??? :D

this is really not a big deal unless you hate pumping water out of your basement.
