OT: Why are gameday threads not done in the Gameday thread subform?

I'm about 4 years late on this, but why aren't they done there anymore? Did I miss something? Or is it just easier to keep them on the general forum?

I believe they are stored there after they're closed. I never went to a separate place to watch people jumping off cliffs in the gameday threads, that i can recall.
