OT: Ty Law To Be Cut?

I love Ty Law but he didn't exactly leave in good terms, no? I had a chance to see him play couple of times this season(Chiefs suck....) and Ty isn't the player he was when he was with Pats. He does have very good ball skills and does still have good break on the ball(think older, bit slower Samuels)but I'd be curious how much $$ he would ask for from teams. Obviously he won't command top dollars like he did before but a lot of teams would overpay for experienced CB. He does have couple SB rings so he probably won't take much pay cut to play for Pats. I would love to see him in Pats uniform but I don't think this scenario will ever play out.

Does anyone actually use their own picture in their avatar? I was crushed when I found out Patjew wasn't the Hasidic Jew in his photo. It was sort of like finding out Santa Claus was just a big lie.

With it being almost a given that Assante Samual (and his 7+ million salary) will be lost to free agency, I wouldn't have any problem whatsover with the Pats signing Law to a reasonable contract for a few years while waiting for a newly drafted cornerback (Antoine Cason?) to develop

Problem is you will never get Ty to sign a deal early in FA. He and his agents will only use whatever interest any team shows in him to try to kickstart a market for his services. He strung BB along for months in 2006, and then he went to KC. And we ended up with UDFA's subbing in the secondary up 18 against the Colts in the second half of the AFCC game. Not to mention TB throwing to Reche Caldwell 'cause BB had waited for Branch to come around. That's why Asante got his no second tag deal before the season and they made the trade for Welker and signed Stallworth and AD within days of FA opening. Bill is done waiting for guys who are stringing him along to come around.

That's an interesting thought. It's hard for me to imagine that guy hanging them up, but I suppose it is an option.

I understadn your point, but think it will be a bigger problem for the Pats if the DO sign him (early or late).

I can't use my picture as my avatar because then I could be identified from some of the adult films I participated in while at sea during my tenure with the USN and according to the UCMJ I could be punished for misconduct while in uniform.
