If you accept the fact that you are going to a movie to see big huge robots from outer space that can change into trucks and jets and stuff, and they fight each other for control of some power cube, then you should have a good time. It was a long movie that dragged on at times, but overall worth the price of admission.

Gone With The Wind, this ain't. But in a summer which, IMHO, has been chock full of disappointments this was a reasonably pleasant surprise.

I'll be honest here: I see a lot of movies, and Transformers may very well be the best movie I've ever seen. It was hysterical when it wanted to be, a few parts were downright touching, the action scenes were absolutely ridiculous, and the leads were fantastic (Megan Fox = ). I had goose bumps for practically the entire movie, and actually had to keep myself from cheering out loud. That was an amazing movie experience.

    Better than Jaws?
Better than The Godfather I or II?
    Better than Saving Private Ryan?
    Better than Gladiator?
    Better than Taxi Driver?
    Better than Caddyshack?
    Better than Schindler's List?
    Better than Platoon?
    Better than Braveheart?

    You get the drift no?

Granted, I really really enjoyed Transformers but lets be real here.

Better in the sense that I've never enjoyed a movie more, or even as much.

And there's no way on God's green Earth that Taxi Driver belongs on your list. What an overrated piece of poo movie that is.

I am not sure I would consider it the best movie ever but I think it's the best movie of this summer. I've seen most of this summer's big movies - and Bourne Ultimatum is still yet to come out - but TF beat them all hands down.

Would I rather watch Transformers than Taxi Driver, Schindler's List and Platoon? Sure. Its a great summer popcorn type flick but to say that its not better than any on that list plus many many more is ridiculous.

    Caddyshack, funniest movie EVER.

The whole point of going to a movie is to enjoy it. You want to laugh at a comedy, you want to have the crap scared out of you at a horror film, you want your face rocked off during an action flick...

I've never enjoyed a movie as much as Transformers, therefore it's the best movie I've ever seen. Let's not confuse the meanings of "best movie I've ever seen" with "greatest film ever made."

To me, who hasn't seen the movie...nor really knows what a Transformer is nor do I have any interest (like Arena Football) in finding out, it's still unfathomable. But people like what they like (who can explain why people drink Zima) so it must have its merits.

I just saw this movie on the 3rd and it rocks! It was about a half-hour to long but other than that it had a better story line than I originally thought going into it. It was also pretty funny in parts and kinda touching in others (if you get into the movie and don't sit there thinking the entire premise is ridiculous). I took my wife with me (she REALLY had no interest in all to go and see this movie) and even she enjoyed it. It is definitely a movie to see in the theaters. You just won't be able to duplicate the experience at home.

If you grew up watching Transformers the cartoon, somethings will disappoint (like Bumblebee being a camaro instead of a bug) but that's the industry for ya. GM made is going to benefit from this. Oh yeah, and Megan Fox. WOW is all I can say about her and that one dude is L-U-C-K-Y!

If you haven't seen it, you should.

To be fair, aren't the action figures based on a TV show?
