"The new Dallas Cowboys stadium will cost $1 billion. And, as of Saturday, as least one human life.

Two days after a crane accident sent three men to the hospital, a worker died at the venue after touching a high-voltage power line."

What is the deal with all of these crane accidents lately? It seems like everytime I turn on the news there is a new one being reported.

Hanging steel is a top 5 most dangerous job. There is no margin for error. A good crane operator can mean the difference between life or death. Trust me, I've run them.

I don't know about karma. Look at how many people died building the Great Wall of China (or were burried alive in it), and it's still standing.

You're right it's estimated that over 2 mil people died during the building and rebuilding of this wall. But the most famous part of this wall was built by the first Emperor of China (approx 220 BC) and very little of it remains now. The part that does remain is to the south of this wall and was built during the Ming Dynasty (approx 1360).

The wall also failed in its task of repelling invaders.

I've always respected the hell out of Jerry Jones for how much he cares for that franchise.

That stadium is going to be amazing.

Kind of expected a response of that kind, lol.

I know people have their gripes with him but you have to respect what he's accomplished. Now will have, without a doubt the finest stadium in the entire country.

I now await. Accomplished?! You mean bringing in a bunch of felons and failing to get out of the first round for the last decade! Arharhar.

I completely agree with you there. Michael Irvin, for how much of a crackhead he is (literally) did say something that I will always agree with. Something along the lines of "People didn't understand why Jerry would stand on the sidelines. They thought it put too much pressure on the team. But I liked the fact the Jerry watched the game from the sideline. To me, it showed that he really cared about the team".

He did get into an ego war with Jimmy Johnson, the fallout for which you can blame the eventual demise of the Cowboys in the late '90's and early '00's. Had they stayed together, I believe the Cowboys could have easily won two more Super Bowls. But, you have to admit that Jimmy probably something to do with that as well. He's smart and I actually like watching him on Fox, but you have to admit that he comes off as a giant ********.

Jimmy Johnson is excellent on Fox, as is Howie Long. Now, if that doofus Bradshaw could be somehow convinced to take a hike, and be replaced by someone like Mark May or James Lofton (but please not Strahan), then we'll have a pregame show to call our own.

As for the other JJ, I can't stand the sight of that zipper-faced egomaniac. We lived in Dallas from '92-'95, and there were always stories about not only the felon Cowboys players, but also about the drinking, driving, womanizing Cowboys owner & his sons.
