The NFL has very poor pension and post-retirement health insurance.

Many former stars end up with menial jobs and resort to crime and violence.

You hear stories about former players who end up destitute and disabled.

After something like 5 years, players are totally responsible for their medical care.

Many cannot afford the high medical expenses.

That's why you see older players not being able to walk normally.

He wasn't the Super Bowl MVP, Doug Williams was in that game SB 22.

True. You could make a case for the Denver defensive line being the MVPs. The way they kept reacting to the same Counter Gap by coming over the line of scrimmage, again and again and again, was a masterpiece of its own. At one point, the commentators said, "Guess what that play was" as Smith went through another gap.
