Shanahan will be reunited with Portis.

Like I said, you can bet Shanahan's first words to Snyder after he said "Okay, I'll do it.." were "but you stay away from my team."

I thought he would have made a better fit in Dallas, but let's see how this plays out. They do have many resources but that team needs to clean house and fast. You can safely say that the Redskins hope and pray that there is no salary cap next year.

Other rumors I'm seeing pop up are that Crennel and Weis might being go to Kansas City.

Do the fans in your neck of the woods believe Dan Snyder will leave Shanahan alone and let him run the team? Given the egos of each, this might make for good theater even if the pairing is unsuccessful.

I wonder if Shanahan is planning to bring all his old 'style' with him? Having his smaller O-linemen in the same division with 3 teams of behemoths will make for interesting matchups, as well as signing/drafting decisions.

He'll probably want a new QB. Don't think JC will cut it.

I think the people here are literally so beaten down they don't know what to think. But the firing of Cerrato and the hiring of a real GM made a lot of skeptics hopeful that this could finally be it.

I actually saw some people making early mock drafts with Clausen going to Washington.

I keep seeing that as well, but only if the Rams take Bradford. If the Rams go with Clausen, will the Redskins take Bradford.

Also, that O-line is beyond horrible. You know he wants to re-build that ASAP.

Would you want Jason Campbell as your quarterback? I sure as hell wouldn't.. crap o-line or not.

The 2009 Redskins team was probably a 10-6 team with proper coaching,Zorn was horrid and Shanahan will have that team in playoff contention in 11 months from now...bank on it.

I wouldn't want JC as backup to Hoyer.

I think they will want Clausen but I think the Rams will pick him. I don't think many other QBs being a good for Shanahan's offence though. But what other choices do they have? Bradford? Locker? Tebow? Mallett?

I sure hope that Shanahan will sign with the skins. He is the one man I want away from the AFC because he has always given us trouble. One of the rare coaches that can coach on BB's level, when head to head.

I guess this isn't a big surprise, but I think that Dan Snyder might finally have met his match. Joe Gibbs was worthy, but past his prime and probably didn't have the stomach for the politics of standing up to an overarching, overreaching Owner. Shanahan wants to go to Canton and knows the third ring is his ticket, so I doubt he'll put up with much.

Bradford to me looks like a solid QB. Quick release, very accurate, etc. The only negative that everyone using against him is his injury this past season.

Tebow is also interesting because of all of his abilities. He is also an accurate passer but teams stay away because they worry if his success will translate to the pros.

Locker will not be in this years draft and Mallett will probably be around after the next season.

I do think though, if the Redskins (and Shanahan) go with Bradford or Tebow, then they have someone to build their future around.

Explains how he landed on the streets of Denver...where he'd had total control for several seasons...and once the HOF QB he inherited and the team he kept in tact by cheating the cap was gone his teams just started floundering in a weak division before getting worse.

Huh? Snyder owns the team and signs his check.

All I can figure is Shanny lost a bundle in the stock market and wants a long term contract then to get fired quick and collect.

    No Jersey Selected

For what it's worth, Allen held a press conference today and said flat out that the Redskins believe that Jason Campbell's best years are ahead of him. Whether or not Shanahan agrees with that remains to be seen. My guess is "no".

I didn't hear the press conference. Did he say those years would be spent as a member of the Redskins?
