His comment implies that youre are going to get your butt kicked in NJ. Why go there after all the recent violence at sporting events?

The last thing you would want is upper management fanning the flames, I would think.

Jets coach tells Cowboys fans to stay home

Cowboys fans have invaded Giants Stadium for years when their team faced the Giants. With the Cowboys coming to MetLife Stadium on Sunday to face the Jets, Rex Ryan was asked if he expects to see Cowboys fans in the stands according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
"I don't know why they'd be here," the Jets coach said Wednesday. "They're coming into our stadium. It's probably not recommended that you wear Cowboys stuff, I would think."

Ryan made the remark off the cuff, but it is not the smartest message to deliver in light of recent fan violence at stadiums in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Just this week, a soccer fan in England was attacked outside Wembley Stadium and died.

The Ravens didn't pass him up because he can't coach... They passed him up because he's not HC material. Except in the swamp where Woody cares as much about press coverage (good or bad doesn't matter, coverage is coverage) as anything.

There are enough idiot fans everywhere...they don't need an excuse to start a riot.....let's hope stadium security is ready for any violence......

Rex isn't the brightest bulb on the porch.....

He's also fat has a weird fetish with feet and let's other men go at it with his wife.

Don't stop now...run with it!
He eats with his fingers....asks for 6 dippin sauces for his 6 piece McNuggets...makes toe jammies out of bellybutton lint...wears footsie pajamas...has a dribble bib.... wafts his own flatulence in a counterclockwise motion....

I find Rex Ryan highly entertaining. I love the way he can emotionally motivate his players.

This statement, however, is over the line. Fans can certainly see an implication that he encourages hostility toward anyone in Cowboy gear.

"They're coming into our stadium. It's probably not recommended that you wear Cowboys stuff, I would think."

That's threatening.

There is obviously a current climate where opposing fans are being attacked. Yes, worse in England, but unacceptable at any stadium. I can understand a team employee being totally wrapped up in loyalty to their team, seeing opposing fans as 'invading our home.' As a public figure and team executive, you cannot cross that line. You cannot condone it. You cannot encourage it. You cannot threaten the safety of families watching a sporting event.

Disappointing.

He seems like an idiot at everything in life with three exceptions. He's a freaking genius at:

*motivating a pro football team
*coaching defensive football
*attracting media attention (which is a benefit in his line of work if his team is good because the media doesn't focus on his team)

And since those three things let him be a great head coach (or at least a great head coach for a talented team) the other stuff doesn't really matter.

Jets suck, picks the Cowboys in the office pool

It's gotten to the point--with literally millions of "news" providers all cruising for website traffic--that literally ANY comment, no matter how benign, made by ANY public figure will be blown up into some kind of story. I don't know whether Rex is an idiot, but he sure made Tom look stupid in the playoffs last year.

To summarize:

Rex Ryan is an Idiot.

He's also fat has a weird fetish with feet and let's other men go at it with his wife.

He eats with his fingers....asks for 6 dippin sauces for his 6 piece McNuggets...makes toe jammies out of bellybutton lint...wears footsie pajamas...has a dribble bib.... wafts his own flatulence in a counterclockwise motion....

So Whats New??

A totally irresponsible comment by the Fat Bastard. And the unfortunate thing is that Green Beans fans will just lap it up and run with it. I attended the last two Pats games at old Giants Stadium and new Giants Stadium and can vouch for the fact that an already obnoxious fan base has become worse under the example set by Jabba Wrecks.

Hey, he knows his audience. I'm sure the cretins at JI and GangGreen are eating this up.
