In case you don't, here's a thread to remind you: http://www.patsfans.com/new-england.../334001-ot-adam-carriker-traded-redskins.html

He's doing quite well playing DE in the 3-4. He was clearly out of position in St. Louis and he's having a heck of a season so far. Last season he really did good at setting the edge in the running game. This year he's getting sacks and pressure on the QB. Here's his stats:

    I understand it's a discussion forum but.

What is there to discuss really? We don't even play a 3-4 most of the time these days anyway.

Btw, in no way am I sayin I'm sold on this D, but jesus you'd think we're still giving up huge numbers with posts like thuis. We're just now starting to see this defense possibly gel the way BB planned to.

There is no relevance to your post. The Reskins play a single gap system. The Pats play a 2 gap system. Also, how do you know that the Rams even contacted the Patriots about Carriker? Oh. That's right. You don't. It's pure BS speculation with no fact to support it.

Don't mind RJB87. He's just another in a long line of posters who thinks that he knows more than BB and thinks that every time BB doesn't do what RJB thinks BB should do, then BB is just stupid. Facts don't actually matter to RJB87. Only his unfounded opinon.

Don't mind DaBruinz. He's best friends and telepathic with BB and knows every personnel decision that he does and doesn't mull over.

You are the one claiming that the Pats could have had him. Not me. YOU are the one who should provide the records since you are the one claiming its fact that the Pats could have had Carriker...

Gotta love it when liars like yourself start posting this sort of idiocy. I don't claim to know every personnel decision. I don't claim to be telepathic nor have I claimed to be best friends with BB.

Again, you are the one who made the claim the Pats could have had Carriker and chose not to. Yet, you offer up NO PROOF to support YOUR claim. I don't have to offer up proof. I can offer up simple questions that provide reasonable doubt and blows up your claims.

Well, if they ended up trading him to the Redkins that means he was available for trade. By that known fact (which is known because he was traded) he was available for us to acquire.

edit: Bottom line, I'm smarter than you. Deal with it.

BTW, Since Haslett was the line coach for Carriker in St. Louis, it's more likely that the Skins contacted the Rams about him.. But, you keep on saying that the Pats could have traded for him without any proof to support that idea..

You clearly don't understand how trading works. Many times people don't know if a player is available until they INQUIRE about him. Being that Haslett was Carriker's line coach in St. Louis and had just come from St. Louis himself, it's much more likely that he went to Shanahan to inquire about Carriker.

What you fail to understand is that there is a difference between actively shopping a player and someone calling you to inquire about a player.

So, to make the statement that he was available for the Pats to acquire without knowing whether or not the Rams were actively shopping Carriekr around is just BS on your part.

Bottom line is that you aren't smarter than me and you've failed every chance you have taken to prove it.

Who happens to also play in a different system entirely than the ones the Pats run... facts like that kill your argument. Especially when you blatantly ignore them.
