I'm not picturing a Pats' song to the tune of "Candle in the Wind" as a real motivator/adrenaline boost.

As for the Prince song, I won't be penciling it in as the next "The Autumn Wind" in NFL movies and videos.

Reminds me of the old Bill Cosby bit where he talks about being on the football team at Temple University: "Our coach went out and bought the wrong record - he bought Exodus. We went out on the field and... everybody went home."

This song is bad.

That being said, Prince is a supremely talented musician from a day when (the 1980s) many pop stars really had a lot of musical talent. People rag on the 80s, but then you see how accomplished the icons of that era were compared to today.

Prince is a good example.

That reminds me - a week or two ago I heard on "The Bob & Tom Show" that a bunch of the '85 Bears got back together to do a commercial for this year's Super Bowl. I was going to post about it on the board here but forgot about it until just now.

Can't be much more embarrassing than the Super Bowl Shuffle.

The Red Sox adopted a Neil Diamond song so it's not inconceivable that Eastern Mass. people will think this is a good idea.

I saw Gary Fencik at a conference a couple of years ago. Hes doing just fine (although his firm's portfolio may not be).
