I'm sure most of you remember the story of the high school QB from Orange, Texas that collapsed on the sidelines two weeks ago and died.
His team played their first game last night since the tragedy. Their game last week was cancelled and they held a memorial service instead.
West Orange got the ball first and took the field with 10 players with the QB being the missing person. All the players pointed up in the sky or held up 1 and 2 fingers, for the #12 that Reggie Garrett wore.
After a delay of game penalty was called, the Kirbyville coach declined it, and play began at 1st and 10.
Kirbyville went on to beat West Orange 28-14.
I just thought I'd share that nice showing of respect. It's not about winning football games when stuff like this happens.
