ESPNews is calling it the biggest upset in college football history.

First time a 1-AA team ("FCS" now) has beaten a ranked AP team.

My first thought on hearing it was
    "Oh, poor Dave!"

    #24 Jersey

I think it's great, the Big Ten sucks and now more people will have to admit it. :D

Big Ten has always been overrated. It gets all the pub because it's closest to the Northeast markets.

Makes me feel a little better, as a UMass student, that we lost to them in the championship last year.

Wow...that's unbelievable. Don't even have the heart to make fun of the Michigan fans after that. Too brutal.

Hey, they were the 1AA champs last year. What has Michigan done lately?

The boosters will be after Lloyd Carr's head.

The part that pisses me off is that they've beaten PSU 10x in a bleepin row. A couple ? calls here and there. But, all in all. Can't believe PSU hasn't beathem them since 96. They didn't play for 2 yrs.

App. State almost blew it today. They kicked a FG on 1st down with 30 seconds left at the 5 yd line from a bad angle instead of running to the middle of the field and spiking or throwing it out of bounds or just burning 10-15 seconds.. They gave Michigan too much time and it almost cost them the game (see Mia-BC 1984 for best example)

    #24 Jersey

Appalachian State was awful, they didn't win it; Michigan just lost it.

Hey let's look at this in a postive way. A certain Pats QB (with ties to Michigan must be pretty ticked off - or happy that Carr blew it) I'll take it that he is really pissed right now. I would hate to be the next team on the Pats schedule - watch out Jets!

I grew up a big Michigan fan, but I have never been impressed with Carr's coaching ability.

Tip o' the hat to Appalachian State.

Just one roadblock out of the way for Penn State's Big Ten Championship hopes...

Brady's likely to be pissed - ditto for Pierre Woods. On the other hand...I can't WAIT to hear Casale's take on this week's PFW. Lloyd Carr's about to take a whoopin'. LOL @ schaudenfreude.

Michigan looks to have screwed up a lot, yes - TWO BLOCKED FGs??? - but Appy deserves credit for even being in that game. They surely deserved to win. Goliath falls again.

Everybody was shocked at the Montana game when that score was announced over the loudspeaker. Montana is the #2 team in FCS just in case you were wondering, lol.

I'm really, really, really sorry, Dave.

And as ESPN Radio astutely pointed out,

Michigan owes Appalachian State $400K for the privilege.

The next big upset will be when UMass takes down BC this year. ;)

By the way, according to the cut down lists I've seen, it appears that RB Steve Baylark has stuck with Arizona.
