New York Jets (9-7) @ Indianapolis Colts (14-2)
When I was talking to my Jest co-worker, I was semi joking/semi serious when I said expect to get 1 or 2 bogus PI calls made on the Jests...
Do you have any money riding on the games today?
without question! the league will deny it and disguise it - but you just know, deep down, they want a Manning/Favre SB. QB Ballwashing will be epic. The new king versus the old king. Gun slinger versus surgeon. Gag me.
I wish the game was starting earlier, it's only starting at 4pm my time. Got a concert to go to at 7pm. Would love to leave with the Jests losing...badly...
Never a good idea to have money riding on a game that involves Bill Polian and the Colts stadium. you WILL get some bogus PI calls. Trust me.
I want the Jets to win today to shut the whining Colts up, but it will be a tall order, because you have to also beat the officials.
The meltdown among Colts fans would be priceless, but the mere possibility of the JEST winning the Super Bowl is nauseating.
Some news on the Jets.

Here's the latest Sunday-morning buzz around the Jets:
As I hinted yesterday, the Jets appear poised to make a change in the secondary, with starting CB Lito Sheppard being dropped from the base defense. There were rumblings all week around the team. As of Friday, Sheppard was telling people that he wasn't sure of his role for today's AFC Championship Game.
Sheppard will be active for the game, sources tell me, but he could be relegated to the nickel and/or dime packages. Presumably, he'd be replaced in the base defense by Dwight Lowery. If Sheppard is in the nickel, he'll still see a lot of playing time because the Jets figure to be using five DBs most of the day against Peyton Manning. But I wouldn't be shocked if Sheppard is in the dime (or perhaps even a smaller role).
Sheppard struggled in his last meeting against the Colts (he had trouble with rookie WR Austin Collie) and he was removed temporarily last week from the base when Chargers QB Philip Rivers started picking on him early in the game. Nevertheless, it still would be a risky decision to demote him. The former Eagle has championship-game experience, and that should count for something. This is Lowery's first rodeo.

I had a nightmare last night that the Jets won, and Rex Ryan was doused with gatorade while the announcers were creaming themselves over how good the Jets were.
But it got better at the end. The cameras then slowly zoomed in on a miserable looking Peyton Manning and then Jim Nantz blurted out, "This guy is just a choke artist!"
Then I woke up.
$20 on Indy without the spread, my friend is an idiot but I will gladly take his money!
I'm no fan of the Jests but I hope they win but think the Colts will kick the crap out of them. Manning has something to prove but the Jests have nothing to lose. Could be an interesting game.
The poll of the Herald site of who do you hate more is currently:
Sanchez looks scared ****less.
The only Sanchez with a snowball's chance of winning today?
They don't call him "dirty Sanchez" for nothing!
Mannings going to light this up
24-0 by HT
according to one offical the colts are playing the GIANTS!! Good to see the NFL has improved on the officals.
Thought the refs would of called that for PI...
Wow, I just got excited over a play that the Jets made.
Not happening - Colts already playing into Jets hands. 1) Colts can't run 2) Jets good at coverage deep 3) Jets force 3rd and long then blitz. Bingo!
Lol, me too man. I felt a little dirty, but that's ok.
down goes Manning ! Are they one dimensional like us
Chat room is active.
Glad this isn't the defense of 2002-08 coming onto the field. What a scary opening drive.
I may have cheered when Manning was sacked.
This is a new look Manning hasn't seen yet, that's why he got sacked. This usually comes out of an unbalanced line, overload blitz, but they disguised it so well. Two linemen inside on a delayed stunt blitz knowing there's only one guy in the backfield to pick it up (RB).
Peytie is scared
Something special is happening.
