FreeTedWilliams is blocking this thread on the Political Board, preventing me from speaking.

I attempted to post a poll soliciting the opinions of the
members of the board,of which I am a proud member

I did not attempt to skew the poll with my personal view of patter's ability to both post and moderate, nor did I express any negative comments about him, personally.

I simply asked:YES,NO or NO OPINION.

To have my free-speech rights abridged like this,
    is appalling.

You should be ashamed to deny anyone's right to post or express a contrarian opinion.

This was not personal....however,you have made it so.

This post has also been locked by the moderators,
none have sent me a pm,so I will assume that I have been banned.

If so,this will be the post, that I am most proud of.

    p.s.please read j'accuse by Emile Zola,,perhaps then,you will understand how I feel.

    WTF are you talking about?

No one has abridged your rights to free speech. Just step outside your door onto the sidewalk and say what you have to say.

You are confusing your right to speech with what you consider a requirement that others must publish what you say. You have a right to speak, not a guarantee of a platfrom on which to stand.

Someone not publishing what you say is hardly a violation of the first amendment.

If you have a problem, please speak with Ian (PM him).

I tried that once and got no response. Even before Italia's poll, I have long been on record as saying that Patters is too involved personally in debates to provide fair and impartial judgement as a moderator.

A guy who regularly ridicules religion and regularly calls the Pope a Nazi is supposed to moderate this board and tell the rest of us how to behave...? I think not.

Well, Patters might be very one sided in his personal political views, but he does a solid job as moderator. I think he cares a lot about the forum and doesn't want to see it shut down. Were it up to me I'd give alot more leeway(sp?) to people, but that's just me, and I wasn't here to understand the past problems with complaints. Patters gets a thumbs up from me. Plus, if he were perfect, what the heck would we be able to complain about? ;)

I disagree with Patters on mostly everything, he is a bit of a demogogue IMO. That said IMO he tries to be fair as a mod.

Patters does represent a particular view of certain issues that carries an unmistakable "perspective" Although pasionate in his arguments I do not believe him to have wielded his awesome MOD power to stifle alternative views.

If he does...sendum to retirement on Imus's ranch. :D

Lemme get this straight. You have a beef with the Mod of the Political Forum, so you go onto the Football Forum to cry about it instead of just PM'ing Ian?

NEM!!!!!! Where ya been??? I missed ya buddy!

Quite honestly, I'd rather listen to 24 hour newscast of Anna Nicole Smith then read a rant about its not fair. No one here cared, and evidently, no one in the football forum does either. Good night Tracy.

Italia, no one has been banned in ages, not even you. But, if you post a poll designed to elicit support for denying anyone their right to post and then complain that you have been denied freedom of speech, there's a certain irony. At any rate, we do have rules to discourage people from starting threads which target a single Patsfan member (in this case, me). If you would like to discuss this issue with me or anyone else, send a PM.
