OT: How could Fred Dean get in the HOF over Richard Dent?

    I am totally mystified by this. Dean was a one dimensional situational pass rusher, and if you were going to induct a situational pass rusher, it should have been Derrick Thomas. Dent was a more complete player than Dean, a more consistent player, a SB MVP, more dominant for one of the great defenses in history over a 5 year period. I really don't understand what is going on in that room.

    Agreed, I think Dent was more deserving. I would have put Randall McDaniel in before Dean too. And why isn't Ray Guy in yet? Yes, I realize he was only on the field for a handful of plays each game, but Guy was so vastly superior to his peers, I think he deserves to go in.
