Both teams have announced that they will not be retaining their current head coach next year and it seems very coincidental that all of a sudden Gruden is coming back to coach.....its likely one of these teams and a return to Tampa Bay where Gruden took the Bucs to thier only Super Bowl is my expectation.
Umm...because he SUCKS. Period! This guy was another promoted aide to an assistant's assistant, and because he came out of Belichick's Stable.....he was going to be a genius too. Just like mangina and we all know how that one turned out. I think mistakenly he got all the credit for the 2007 high powered offense....when in reality it was BB pulling those strings....McD is a fraud.
Eh none of those guys look importantHere's another possible explanation. . . .
16 Danny Amendola WR (IR)
63 Jacob Bell G (IR)
89 Mark Clayton WR (IR)
86 Michael Hoomanawanui TE (IR)
49 Brit Miller FB (IR)
18 Austin Pettis WR (Suspended)
76 Rodger Saffold T (IR)
87 Greg Salas WR (IR)
77 Jason Smith OT (IR)
I agree. He's a helluva lot better than Dennis Miller, would you guys rather him?

ESPN says a lot of thingsESPN announced today that Gruden will NOT be leaving in 2012
End of thread.....
Now see, I like him and enjoy listening to him. The man is a damned fine coach, and the detail he brings to the booth and the games is very nice. For me, at least.
If true I'm really surprised, it's hard to see anyone going back to the schedule NFL coaches work when they are making pretty much the same money to do what Gruden does. He must really really really love coaching to make that move.

Now that the Gruden rumor has been canned, can we start one that Mike Tirico is retiring to the Home of the Terminally Bland?
IMHO Tirico adds absolutely nothing to the broadcast, except some feeble attempts at faking excitement.
Can't ESPN find ANYONE better than Tirico to put on MNF?
I don't know about Tirico but take that POS announcer Dan Dierdorf and kick his ass away from announcing......he is the WORST in history.
