    My Jersey:

Didn't want to pay the cash and the injury last year is a concern. Maybe they should have kept him to see if they could have gotten better than a 5th if they made the choice not to pay him a long-term deal.

Unless I am missing something, I don't see where his logic is bad.

Wow. Stunner. I wonder if his recovery will longer than expected?

Great pick up by Seattle. I would sacrifice my left ball for Leon. But Jabba wouldn't trade with us. Although I do hear he likes balls.

Makes complete sense after the McKnight and Wilson picks.

Surprised Leon had that much value considering he is still rehabing and 28.

I love Leon, great football guy, I wish him best of luck.

how is Kyle Wilson related to Leon Washington?
Did you use a first rd pick on a kick returner?

I guess you can never have enough FB's on your team as Sanchize will be running for his life....again:rocker:

They didn't, but I'm sure Wilson has value as a returner. Just like our guy.

I know little about the Jets draft picks, but it is my understanding that Wilson was a beast punt returner, a duty Leon had. The thought is that Wilson will see a lot of time on STs as a gunner and punt returner as he develops his CB skills.

I also hear Connor is a top FB in this draft, depth and a replacement for the unbreakable T Richardson.

Apparently the Seahawks think he'll be just fine. Your running game has been significantly downgraded. It's now on Green's shoulders almost completely unless one of those rookies surprises. LaClassian will be a non-factor come November, when the rain freezes and Cromartie's ninth child is born.

If he's unbreakable, why do you need depth and/or a replacement for him? :p

Maybe,,,Seems to me that the Jets recommitted to the run taking an O lineman, RB, and FB.

Damn, I wouldn't have minded taking a flyer on him for a 5th. We've got like 4 7th rounders so why not... stash him on the PUP if he's still not ready and see what happens.

I have much respect for faneca, but he is past his prime and was the weakest link on the Jets O line.

I understand Faneca was on the books for 7 mil and the Jets only save 2 mil by cutting him and have to pay the other 5 still.

I am on the fence about cutting him, but we should not make the mistake of overrating him.

I actually do understand cutting him - he was a disastrous pass protector. I just don't think cutting Faneca helps the supposed commitment to running the ball.

The Rat Fan rooting methodoloigy...(using Faneca as an example)

"if the player is a Jet then "he's ALL Pro!!!!!!~ Best guard in the NFL_!!!!Tough!!!!Mean!!!!WE STOLE HIM!!!"

If same player gets cut..."best days behind him...he was All Pro LAST year...this season his skills have eroded...we were paying too much..he's become a cancer

take out Faneca insert Leon Washington and you get the EXACT SAME SCHIZO RESPONSE. If you need proof just open up the first page at J.I. or Gangrene and look at the threads.

same thing can be said here as well. The same place where I read one week you guys wanted Marshall the next he actually is a negative for the dolphins. Bottomline is every fan base/board has guys who will spin everything i nto a positive for their team i.e. you guys got Spikes you love him, if the Jets took him he would be a thug would who tried to turn a georgia RB into a cyclops

Why tender him to a second if you want to trade him anyway? I guess they needed assurance they would get their guy in the draft

I think you may have nailed it here. Im sorry to see him go b/c he was a thrilling player and great guy but he did turn down the contract offered last year then had a compound fracture. The nature of the beast, RB's are replaceable

I loved eye gouging incident. That's the mean streak you want your starting ILB to play with.
