Re: Galloway to Steelers.

In God's name why? Their receivers (Holmes, Wallace, Ward) aren't the problem.

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

Do we even have a third WR? Didn't notice him last week.

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

Gee! I wish we had him instead of Aiken.

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

From the Comments Section:

Real reason -As a possible #6 seed, they would play at New England in the wild card round. No doubt Joey will have a TON of knowledge about that Pats offense.

Wait, how much is there to know?

Wes Welker
Wes Welker
Wes Welker

Nevermind.

That is kinda funny.

But when other teams figure out a way to stop Wes, Brady will stop throwing to him...

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

Hell is being unleashed!

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

Well there goes thier playoff chances....Galloway is a waste of a receiver anymore.

They just put Limas Sweed on IR and Ward has been beat up.

Re: Galloway to Steelers.

Galloway seems better suited for them though. Ben tends to improvise as he holds the ball forever, so a guy who's still got some legs can get open in that time.

If they were a timing and rhythm offense he'd be useless.

Yeah, I don't think the Steelers have complicated routes or a lot of presnap reads.

Good luck to Mr. Galloway.

in case you guys haven't figured it out, it's obvious why they are doing this. If Pittsburgh gets in as a 6 seed, Galloway will have all the dirt on the Pats -their likely opponent. it's kind of like how the jets got info from kevin o'connell. there is simply no other explanation.

lol the last thing the 7-7 stellers are thinking about is the pats not only do they need to win there last 2 games but they need a lot of help to make the playoffs

one of there WR's got hurt and they need all the guys they can get for big ben. to throw to cause they will need two more great games from him if they are going to have any shot at makeing the playoffs

He would be their #4 or #5 WR, and he doesnt play ST, and has shown difficulty in picking up new playbooks. By signing him you are effectively downgrading your roster. It would be like if a team kicked an onside kick when they had the lead. Nothing good could happen.

Pittsburgh will probably be astute enough to simplify their offense for an old dog that clearly has trouble learning new tricks. Galloway still has something left to give. On top of that, Pittsburgh MAY play the Pats in the Wild Card round and Galloway comes at a cheap price with information on the in's and out's of the Pats offense. Picking him up is a good, smart move by Pittsburgh.

inb4 he averages 2 TDs a game for the rest of the season and is a solid contributor

The cost is minimal.
They have no better use for the roster spot.

 LOL. Yea, either that OR they just put Sweed in IR and Ward is dealing with some injuries. Conspiracy theorize much?? Trust me...the Steelers are NOT making advance plans to beat the Pats in the playoffs. They're just trying to win THIS week!

Galloway couldn't run our plays when he was here ...

This is great ... it's like Belichick left a scud out there waiting for someone to shoot it.

Actually I AGREE with Tomlin's call on the onside kick. And there's plenty he does that I DON'T agree with. But if you've followed the Steelers much this season (or over the past several seasons actually), you'd see that they are historically AWFUL when it comes to giving up big plays in the clutch at the end of games. AND their 2 minute drill has been lackluster this season to say the least. SO, with that mind...best case scenerio, we get the ball (who is expecting an onside kick in that situation?) and milk the clock out and get away with a win. Worst case scenerio was exactly how it played out. GB recovers and scores (although they would've likely been MUCH happier with a FG). BUT at least there's a good chance you'll have some clock to work with to drive down the field and score yourself. Had the Steelers lost, people would be analyzing/criticizing Tomlin's decision for years to come, but I'd STILL stand by my opinion that it was a good, gutsy call in that situation.
