I hope that we can just wish the guy well and keep political commentary out of this thread.
 
What bugs me is that the NFL players make front page news for this while the millions (my cousin for his 2nd. round and Harrison37 included) of other troops don't get such recogntion.
 
Celebrities of any stripe are going to get noticed. Obviously your cousin and Rodney37 are just as worthy, and are regarded extremely highly by friends and family and, generally, by the nation.
 
Roethlisberger should join him. :)

"News" is just that...NEWS!

When a guy thumbs his nose at making (potentially) millions of dollars to go do something for his country, this qualifies as something worthy of special attention. It also helps validate the mission of the millions of others already involved in the undertaking. It benefits the rank and file.

Life is not fair. Never was. Never will be. That's just the way it is.
