OT Flags on NFL officiating

Interesting, ROUGH correlation (inverse)
between penalties incurred and quality of the team.

I'm sure that supervisor Pereira would be delighted to put last playoffs behind him.
Less need, then, for him to have to try to hornswoggle the lethal officiating.

A buddy of mine who is a die-hard Bills fan and I worked on penalty stats in the NFL over a 10 year period. What we found was pretty shocking. The team that had the fewest penalties called against them while also recieving the most 1st down by penalty was the NY Jets. Despite coaching changes. Player changes. And changes in pretty much every aspect of game planning, The Jets were the least penalized team in the NFL.

The team that comes from the largest TV market in the country is a team that the NFL wants to succeed.

I do have a conspiracy theory about the NFL. Just don't get me started.

The NFL Network has had Pereira on every hour (it seems like) propping up the credibility of the refs. They need it after last years playoffs.

He's a good spokesman. If only his crews were as competent.
