OT Figure Skating my new favorite sport

So, my wife was watching the Olympics and I came into the room and figure skateing was on. It blew me away.

Each triple-toe-loop, each double and triple axel, left me breathless. I can't wait for the Ice Dancing to come on.

Who said that there is no life after football?

HAHA!!! Yes, the show is on Fox on Monday night before 24 is on! That hot chick from Fox Sports, Jillian Barbieri (sp??) is one of the skaters. Bruce Jenner of Olympic decathalon fame was also on that show. I never watched it.

A sequin is a round shiney thing on shirts and dresses that reflects the light. Ask your wife, I bet she owns something with them. Think Elvis' Vegas outfits!!!

I am sick of this fricken Metro stuff, whoever invented that word should be shot! To the best of my knowledge, Tommy has never worn anything with sequins!

Bruce Jenner?? Gold medal winner. Then,he was the star of that great hit "Can't Stop the Music", with the co-stars being the Viilage People. It's amazing how people will humiliate themselves for money.

My daughter made me take to the movies to see that. It's amazing how fathers will humiliate themselves for their daughters.

LOL, well, to each their own. I am not too interested in the Olympics either, truth be told, although we women are supposed to go nuts over figure skating. IMO, the whole damn thing is more fixed than ever (this is how they "fixed" the mess made at the last scandal-ridden Games....make a new scoring system that is 10 times worse than the first!).

It's not a sport. Athletic, yes, but NOT a sport.

I think I like watching women's figure skating for the same reason I like watching women's gymnastics. The girls have really nice bodies and they wear tights.
