I bet you could go through all the social media accounts of all their employees and find countless stupid liberal bases memes that are insulting to more than half the country. Schilling has always been a self promoting loud mouth (exactly the type of person you want as a commentator). BUT you can never underestimate what he did that night in New York. He was in serious pain, and pitched a gem of a ballgame. That bloody sock was all over the national news. To cut that out of the story of the 2004 Red Sox is akin to cutting out Carlton Fisk's homer from the story of the 1975 World Series.

No, it's not a double standard. Because it's against the law to deny someone service based on their race, religion or sexuality. That's clear as day. Oh but you'll say that "well they were just expressing their religious beliefs so it is a double standard." Again, no its not. You cannot express your religious beliefs in a way that infringes upon the civil rights of others because of the Constitutionally mandated separation of Church and State.

Yes, the Civil Rights Act did not have anything to do with sexuality as it was the 1960s and people were still pretending that the issue didn't exist. Since then there have been plethora of laws and statutes at at every level of government, along with court rulings, that protects an individuals right against discrimination in broader terms even if it specifically hasn't been as officially codified as the CRA. Thus if someone feels that they have been discriminated against they can investigate their legal options and, if they are found to have grounds, sue.

FFS I said in my original post that while I don't like Schilling I think that ESPN literally erasing history from a sports documentary of all things is abhorrent. That's the point of this thread and the point of the post expressed that I don't judge literally everything through the lens of political leanings.

No the Constitution doesn't literally have the words "Separation of Church in State" written verbatim in it. But it makes a clear and concise statement regarding just that. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
