I think he needs Peyton Manning's attorney, He has experience with harassment suits.

Surprising, but a woman can bring out the best and sometimes the worst behavior in men.

Read the article. This is less than a non-issue, unless there's a lot more to the story.

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

The thing that sucks about the whole man/woman dynamic in any kind of breakup is that the woman can kick a man out of any home including his own whereas a man seemingly cannot do that to a woman. She'll argue then call the cops and the man gets arrested.

No equal rights under the law when it comes to these issues or of parental custody/ alimony.

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

Getting arrested is rarely a non-issue, let alone *less* than a non-issue.

Detained -- as in the case of McFadden -- sure.

But not arrested. That's usually an issue.

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

I read the article. It was like 10 sentences long. There was a domestic dispute. It got so out of hand he broke something. He refused to leave. It got to the point she had to call the police.

Upon arriving, the police arrested him. I'd imagine if it were "nothing" when they arrived he would not have been arrested.

Nothing will probably come of it, I'm just taking issue with you saying being arrested is "nothing."

Here's a good guideline: If something you do is picked up by the Associated Press, it is not "nothing."

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

They were arguing over the sale of the home, and he was released on his own recognizance. There wasn't even a trifling bail amount ordered. The AP is famous for writing about 'nothing', by the way.

P.S. I don't know the laws of Colorado, but some states have a policy, implicit or explicit, of always making an arrest on a domestic call.

P.P.S. A little bit of googling seems to show that Colorado has a 'primary aggressor' policy as opposed to a mandatory arrest policy. The impact of that difference seems to be shown on some charts, but I'm not going to waste people's time with those, and I'm not going to bother researching further. Again, unless there's more to the story, this is much ado about nothing.

Mooned? That's a nice way of describing it. I believe the trainer said he placed his "naked butt and rectum" on her face.

Flagged for backfield in motion, this quarterback sneak failed and Peyton became the butt of ass jokes.

But its all behind him now. "It's in my rear view mirror . . . . it happened many moons ago!" cracked Manning.

She wore his beaver streak for awhile.

I once kicked a hole in my bedroom wall because of how angry my girlfriend made me.

She was never in the slightest danger of it being her instead.

19 out of 20 insinuations of domestic violence are at least as bad as they sound, but I vote innocent until proven guilty on this one.

from what i've seen, woman become a little melodramatic and know they have the upper hand in these type of situations. of course, there's times when men deserve being thrown in jail, i've just never personally witnessed one, thankfully. a man raising a hand to a defenseless woman is a coward.

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

Ive been as tough on Graham as anyone - but this looks like a BS arrest.

First of all I think the police have NO OPTION but to arrest Graham or any guy in a situation where his girlfriend called the police. That's SOP and for good reasons.

But let's be clear. The guy hit a bedpost. That doesn't make him a wife beater.

The guy's an NFL Tight End. He was in an argument with his wife. He had the good sense to take out his agression not on her and hit a bedpost instead.

He doesn't deserve to be villified for that. If we want to crucify him for having a physical reaction to his anger and emotions period then we're all probably hypocrits.

Now I can't say that his girlfriend wasn't justifiably frightened for her safety and didn't do the right thing by calling the police - but I'm not going to fault Graham for finding the rationality in a heated moment to find a physical release on an inanimate object.

He deserves some credit for that in my opinion.

    Re: OT: Dan Graham arreseted

Geeze - maybe we should form a club. Heck - I could see an entirely new section of the website.... might give guys a chance to vent.

Truth be told I've slammed a door right off its hinges. As with Graham, if my wife called the police about that - presumably saying she feared for her safety - I would have been arrested.

The police have NO option in this situation as I understand it. That's generally a good thing as they are erring on the side of safety. But that doesn't mean Graham is a bad guy for this either.
