OT: Culpepper escorted from Fins Practice

There is more than a little irony that the Dolphins have a former starting QB trying to force his way where he wants to go while trying to either reduce the trade compensation or eliminate it by forcing his release.

The last QB to pull that one - new Dolphin QB Trent Green.

It's like deja vu all over again...

They crowed Saban was a genius, we tried to tell them he was no BB

Now they call him Satan

They crowed that Culpepper was better than Brady, MVP talent who would take them to the Bowl. We tried to tell them that he had trouble written all over him and much of it was located well above his knees.

Now he's a bitter malcontent who fenagled them out of their lunch money.

They crowed that Joey was underappreciated and would be the best backup in the league if they even needed him. We told them we'd rather have Cassel...

Now they are crowing about an aging and seriously concussed QB (who has never succeeded on the field without **** Vermiel on the sidelines) backed up by an overdrafted rookie (they just had to use a 2...) and a Lemon, surrounded by team leader expressing public discontent and an overdrafted lame PR and their new genius HC who will lead them all to the promised land - just like he did in his only other gig as a head coach in Illinois...not.

PS - If we haven't sufficiently already, on behalf of the NEP allow me to thank your crack organization once again for "dumping" Welker. :D

Culpepper's chances of making the Dolphin's Hall of Fame suffered a setback today. :p

This franchise is an absolute Godsend. They could not be more of a joke if they actually tried to be. Its as pathetic as it is contemptable.
The Vets on the team must be wondering what the he$$ is going on with the franchise. It pleases me greatly.
Very nice guys. Please keep this up for another 10 years.

And yet somehow they still manage to play the Pats close both games every year, and usually win one.

Yeah, funny thing when you look back and realize that every time the Pats have cleared their way to another playoff run or some all time NFL record, they have to go through the motions of playing a team down near Cuba who is the league's version of the Bad News Bears.

When we NEED the victory, we take it. When we have nothing to play for, you guys always play tough.

Congratulations on that.

and prior to 2000 there wasn't a single patriot fan in the entire world who had witnessed a championship despite the factthey were in the league for over 40 years... so whats your point?

A lot of us Pats fans savior the chaos from which we emerged as a sort of bitterweet long suffering which has made the light at the end of the tunnel so enjoyable.

But to be specific, we had some great teams in the 70's, and we were blatantly robbed of a superbowl run in 1976, by a bad call in the Raiders game, sort of a reverse tuck rule where they got the benefit of the doubt and we lost the game because of it.

We also vanquished the damn Dolphin home field advantage in 1985, on the way to the superbowl.

And we were good in the late 90's, with a superbowl which would possibly have been a lot closer if Bill Parcells wasn't busy finding his next job while still under contract.

So technically, we had suffered and been rewarded with glimpses of the future.

I would like to think that when we were going through losing streaks, we would have been a lot more realistic than a lot of Dolphins fans around here if there was any such thing as the internet at the time.

But who knows, because during the internet era we have not only ruled the league but we have kicked the Dolphins out of the way when we needed a victory.

Do I have this right? Trent Green was being a jerk to the Chiefs. The Chiefs were not stooping to his level. They traded him when they received their asking price. The Dolphins most likely could have signed Green after he was released.

Now the Dolphins expect other teams to be as undisciplined as they were and trade away a draft pick. So now the Dolphins are being jerks to Daunte. He doesn't owe them a dam n thing.

The only reason they traded for Culpepper last year instead of signing Brees was his marketability. A very ******ed reason. Any halfway successful QB can be marketable(look at Roethlisberger.)

I understand that Green knows the offense. But Daunte has more experience with the receivers on the team and has the arm that can take atvantage of Ginns speed. Green can't out throw a lawn-mower. He is also more of a statue than Dan Marino ever was. We all saw him struggle last season when his All-Pro O-Line retired on him. This will be so much fun to watch Green either struggle under pressure or get injured and if Daunte can rebound with another club it will be that much sweeter. I hope he goes to the Lions or Rams.

Saban is responsible for the trade
Saban was the one who pressured to put him on the field (most likely because he knew he was going to leave after the season)
Cameron is dumping him like he would any other Vet that does not fit his system(Mcmichael, Mare, Jeno James, Joey Harrington,Wes Welker)

There is a reason why certain QB';s cannot translate their success to a new destination. Simply they are not fit to run the current system in place. Before saban left Pep was in a system that suited him, that is no longer the case.

Please you're killing me. I never ever thought I'd feel sorry for a Dolphin team but this is pathetic.

Plus you're here trying to argue technicalities with an AV from a player you traded to us.:bricks:

Please, if I buy one of your pencils will you go away?

You make me feel guilty for having an actual professional team to root for.

Your boy (and mine), Welker doesn't fit the system? McMichael, the tight end of Miami internet poster's lore and legend just last season, gone. Pepper, the savior, happy trails. Quinn, no thanks. Ginn, fills a huge need, on special teams. :)

Come on, you were fairly objective last year, now you sound at least a bit like you are drinking some serious kool-aid..... :D

If I was a Miami fan, I think I would be stomping on the panic button right now! Admit it, this is not entirely a solid situation for Miami. ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist.

And the Miami saga grows even more ridiculous....

Culpepper NOT allowed to participate in camp....

ESPN said:
The eight-year veteran participated in warmups during the Friday morning minicamp session and in some individual drills. Culpepper said he was then apprised by quarterbacks coach Terry Shea that he would not be permitted to take part in any team drills.

At that point, Culpepper left the field, accompanied by Stu Weinstein, the team's director of security, and retired to the weight room.

So much for the excuses offered up by Aqua-boy and Feelinthepain.....
