Unless Im mistaken, the celtics would get the lakers pick this year, if it ends up below 10 (which it should)? Right now the lakers would pick about 16, so the celtics would get that pick? Trying to find the info on the net, and it seems like trades are never really listed in detail.

The Celts also owe Atlanta a non-lottery pick due to the Antoine trade. Therefore, if the lakers make the playoffs we lose the pick to Atlanta. If the Lakers don't make the playoffs, and aren't in the top ten picks, we keep it. I think that the best case scenary would be for them to make the playoffs. Then we would give the pick to Atlant THIS year (horrible draft due to age restriction) insted of 2007 or 2008 whcich should be great draft years.

good point about the age restriction.... yeah, teams should be trying to stock up in 07 and 08

Actually, we give Atlanta the worst of the number one picks. Go to Celticsnation.com and those guys will give you all the info that you can't find elswhere. The Celtics also got a number one from the Timberwolves trade.

that site isnt about the celtics!

Atlanta only gets a pick when the Celtics get a 2nd 1st rounder this year or next.

2006 -Atlanta gets lesser pick of Celtics/Lakers if the Lakers finish 11th or lower.

2007 - Atlanta gets lesser of Celtics/Lakers/Cleveland if Lakers finish 3rd or
lower and Cleveland finishes 11th or lower. If the Lakers finish
in the bottom 3 then Atlanta gets lesser pick of Celtics/Cleveland
only if Cleveland finishes worse than 11.

So this must mean Atlanta gets the worse of all 3 in 2008 if all
else happens.

So we get to select 3 of 4 picks in the next 2 years and the one we lose will be the lowest of the 4. If year 3 then it will be the worst of the 5. Which on this team with loaded talent tat is young is a throwaway anyways.

EDIT: PHOENIX SOMEHOW GETS THE PICK VIA THE HAWKS OF CELTICS OR LAKERS....??? DOESN'T SEEM TO AFFECT ANYTHING FOR US.
