Does anybody know of any good books about the Pats during that time period or about the players? Already read Patriot Reign and EDUCATION OF A COACH. Or any other books about the Sox or Bruins? I appreciate any recommendations.

While not directly about the Pats, Tedy's Never Give Up is a must read. Christopher Price has a new one coming out, The Blueprint.

Felger, I think, wrote one called "The Impossible Team" about the 2001 team. Not nearly as good as Holley's, though, but you can read a piece of Felger's when he was a respectable journalist!

I'm looking forward to our own Christopher Price's book.

Pepper Johnson wrote one after the 2001 season called "All For One"
I like it quite a bit.

Also there was one about Brady last Year, forgot the Author and Title though.

Another book I read was Management secrets of the NEP It was a compendium of articles from a variety of sources and was a good read.

I've got a few for you.

"There's No Expiration Date on Dreams," was a collection of articles and interviews with people about Tom Brady put out by The Sporting News after the first Super Bowl.

If you want to learn more about the Pats before 2000, you can read "The Four Seasons," by Bob Ryan about the 1996 team, althought it really wasn't well-written, it is one of the only thorough writings about that team.

Felger also wrote "Tales from The Patriots Sidelines."

There is a surprising, large mention of the Patriots in "The League: The Rise and Decline of the NFL," but it was published in the mid 1980's so it might be hard to find. I saw it in a library recently though.

    Some good Bruins books are:

Price Gouging 101 by Jeremy Jacobs

How to turn an original 6 franchise into an expansion franchise co written by Harry Sinden and Jeremy Jacobs

To be fair, 4/6 of the O6 teams strongly resemble expansion teams at this point (the exceptions being the Wings and Rangers). Not that I don't hate Jeremy Jacobs or anything.

And, besides, the book you're looking for is called "Concessions of a Buffalo Billionaire." ;)

I really liked most of the Patriots books, but I thought this one was one of the worst of the bunch. Very disapointed in this one. Patriot Reign and From the Sidelines were two of my favorites. Tedy's book is awesome as well.

I'm going on a cruise next week and I need some reading material. Has anyone read both "Patriot Reign" and "The Blueprint?" If so which would you reccomend.

Don't waste your time with this one... if you've read the newspaper the last few years, you've already read this book. All it is is 200 pages of quotations and footnotes. Almost ZERO insight.

I just finished Price's book... it's alright but wait for it to hit buck-a-book or take it out from the library.

Pepper's book was pretty good. Charlie Pierce's book on Brady wasn't bad either.

Reign. Better book, more insight, more enjoyable read.

-Mediocre, at best. It contains a few pages written by Pete Sheppard. 'Nuff said.

    Excellent read.
Don't waste your time. A book about the pre-2000 Patriots, written by a guy that didn't even cover the team back then. Look up one of Willie McDonough's old books if you want to read about that.
