Per a RT from Rappaport..
Schefter just tweeted it as well. 11th overall pick to cut in under 2 years... that has to be close to a record.
I'd take a look at him.
Ouch. The 11th overall pick cut after only 2 seasons in the league. Even Gholston got 3.
They don't produce HOF Linebackers at Penn State like they used to
This changes everything!!!!
I wonder why he can't keep weight on. Must have a hell of a metabolism.
Can he to camp weighing 226lb for a DE.
This is strange, he was 250lb at the combine.
Maybin came in at stunning 228 lbs at the Bills offseason weigh in. He's strictly a college speed rusher.
Edit: vuudu beat me to it...
Where's M Kiper? IIRC Mel had him going to the HOF....
Especially ones that run a 4.88 40......
Can he play as a DE in a 4-3 defense?Buffalo's d-line is very improve with a guy like Marcel Dareus eating space.
He probably lost a step or two after bulking up over 20 lbs. in two months prior to the NFL Scouting Combine.
Maybe he could be an oversized safety, or a power RB at 6'4 226 pounds?
Seriously, talk about not caring about your career or he has a weight loss problem.
Now it makes sense. HGH I will surmise. You just can't add muscles naturally like that. 20lbs in 2 months and no one batted an eye then?
For some reason all I can think of is a very funny tweet from someone — maybe Bill Simmons — when Buffalo got Merriman, saying basically "The Bills now have a Maybin and a has-been."
Agreed. If those pictures are correct then something is not right. Sad to see a player fall so fast. I hope he lands somewhere.
Buffalo trash would not do much here.
Add in the HGH testing and game-day drug testing in the new CBA (I believe), and I don't think he'll be the last case like this that we see going into the season.
I am sure alot of players are off the hgh now knowing there will be testing.
It depends on how they test for it. Piss tests are pretty simple to beat when you know they are coming.
It's the same shake and a wink the NFL has had in place for years. Kind of like MMA.
