He is just commenting that other players in the league hate the patriots and he doesn't know why. I don't see anything wrong with that.

It's the things that came with winning that makes everyone hate the pats. Spygate, the celebration over the chargers last year, willfork's play and others, going for it on 4th and 8 when you are up by tons of points, etc. All that along with dominating for the majority of the year is gonna catch tons of heat with other players in the league and bring out the worst in people when the Pat's fell on their face.

Giant fans in general did not hate the Patriots unlike the fans of many other teams do. That may have been true of the players as well.

Could come from the fact we don't play them to often, BB is still highly respected for being responsible as a major part of their past SB wins. He was a very popular DC.

1. Your coach is a classless toad.

2. Your coach is a proven CHEATER.

3. Your nose tackle, left defensive end and the HGH safety are 3 of the dirtiest players in the league.

4. When your team wins, they pour popcorn on their faces, mock other players celebrations etc. But when you lose your coach crawls away into the locker room to hide.

5. They invite Giants players to their 19-0 victory party during the game, surely this sort of arrogance plays itself out against other teams.

Thats' why your hated.

Obviously a Jets fan who still feels jilted by BB. They'll never admit that they actually did cheat by tampering with Parcells during SB36. Oh and Mawae was a choirboy, no one on the Jets trash talks (got to love the whining about trash talking now), and oh my god we mock a player who opens himself up by tryin to disrespect his opponents how awful. Stop being so bitter!

Think about this for a moment.

A wildly successful Patriots, would only mean one thing to the Players, and their union. A wide scale expectation to take a Team friendly contract to play football.

And too so many, that is a very bad bad thing.

There is a monetary reason for hating the way the Patriots play and build its team.

Football players don't hate BB because he is rude to the media. If anything, they respect him as a coach. He is a proven caring citizen, beloved by people who make a difference, like Jim Brown and Bill Russell. Don't mistake being real and giving a **** about image with classlessness.

Almost all players in the league are vicious and brutal, especially linemen.

Almost all teams have a significant amount of trash-talkers and arrogant SOBs.

Ofcourse, the other NFL players are happy when the Patriots lost - otherwise, how will they justify their lofty salaries in comparision to their own and their team's pathetic performance. Vince Young makes as much Tom Brady. Have you ever seen Young complete more than 10 passes in a game? Often, his passing yards are less than 100 in a single game. The Skins coaching staff is the highest paid in the league. They only reason they got into the playoffs is due to the emotional energy that came to them when their teammate was taken away suddenly - it wasnt the high paid coaches doing. When Patriots lost rest of the league FELT SECURE. That's the real source of their happiness.

When Spygate first broke, Kraft said "a lot of people around the league are jealous of our success". That was week 1. Imagine how jealous rest of the league felt at the beginning of Week 19.

On another note, I am reminded of the 4 consequetive Super Bowl trips the Bills made in the 90's. When they lost to the Patriots in the playoffs in the 5th year, a large number of players around the league (especially, the AFC teams) called the Patriot players to thank them for preventing the Bills from getting to a 5th consequetive Super Bowl.

Running for 15 yards a carry in the 4th Quarter when the game is no longer in question > 10 completions supposedly.

Oh and PreNFL hype > On Field Performance ( man player can sure thrive in the NFL for some time on college Hype alone huh?? and some players who dont get hype can never stick around with similiar stats )
