The failure of liberal--who cherish the ideal of equality--to account for differing levels of income and other measurables by anything other than sociological considerations. Lawrence Auster explains: It would be wise to return to older notions of justice, such as the Aristotelian idea that it is unjust to judge unequal things equally. In a free society all things won't be equal. People will be free to develop freely, which necessarily means inequalities will result. Who really cares? Why should you? The important thing to do reduce barriers, not to equalize results. Darwinism has shown that group averages differ in areas such as IQ. Have you checked out the MIT campus lately? Any truth to its being called "Made in Taiwan"? It's amazing how much we--me included--can blind ourselves. That's why I like that George Orwell quote so much. "To see what is in front of one's nose requires a constant struggle."
